Responsibilities

• Creating compelling written content about plant-based food; precision fermentation; cultivated meat, dairy and fish; and the plant-based food industry - across ProVeg B2C and B2B media channels (articles, blog posts, social media, video, info material, website etc.) as well as for third party platforms.

• Devising themes and ideas for content creation including building on the wide variety of ProVeg programmes across 12 countries, using effective storytelling and impact articles.

• Working with colleagues on graphic and video content.

• Maximizing our reach by optimizing content according to current SEO best practice.

• Assuring quality control in close cooperation with the International Senior Digital Communications Manager, as well as ProVeg Editor-in-Chief and our research department.

• Supporting PR function as back-up writer.

• Working together with other content creators, communications managers, or external service providers to successfully engage with our target audience.

• Repurposing content for different mediums, including social media and video.

• Using ProVeg's own research insights and other references to inform our communications approach to, and adapt framing for, different target audiences.

• Contributing to measuring outputs and outcomes to ensure our communications are impactful.

Qualifications

Required:

• Relevant degree in communications, journalism, PR, marketing, English studies or other relevant fields.

• At least three years professional experience (in an agency or larger organization) in writing online copy such as blog articles and social media posts.

• Experience in SEO writing/editing.

• Experience with social media posting and scheduling tools.

• Strong understanding of target groups and strong communication skills, with a strong feeling for the language.

• Creative mind, with the ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content.

• Good knowledge of topics related to plant-based nutrition and lifestyles.

• Proactive, result-oriented, and structured approach to work.

• Comfortable with working with tight deadlines.

• Professional attitude, minimal supervision required, and a comfortable problem-solver

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English (native speaker).

Preferred:

• Background in the plant-based-nutrition or food-system sector.

• Experience in writing press releases.

• Experience in digital content marketing.

• Experience in building social media audiences through compelling content.

The Youth and Employability Department
The Youth and Employability department provides informal learning and engagement opportunities for young people to build and develop essential life skills to support their transition to adulthood, engagement in their local community, and employability skills for the world of work.

We believe in high-quality provision that makes a difference in young people’s lives; we offer a variety of personal, social, and educational opportunities for young people to engage, in both group and 1:1 sessions. Purpose of the role
The Youth Engagement Worker role is to create a positive, safe, educational, and memorable experience for young people aged 13-18 years old. Youth Engagement workers will lead, inspire and support young people to develop personal, social and educational skills through creative activities.

Youth Engagement workers will deliver our youth programmes, sessions, assemblies and projects within the local community and schools. Sessions and projects themes include: life skills, personal and social development, team work and leadership, employability, youth voice, & social action. Programmes include; weekly evening activities/ groups, in school provision, holiday programmes and detached work. Youth Engagement workers will also work alongside other local community groups to collaborate for the benefit of the local community and young people.

Youth Engagement workers will need to be innovative and think outside the box. They will provide pastoral care, and deliver inclusive curriculum sessions, and skill development activities to groups and individuals. The role is suitable for a dynamic and confident person who has experience in leading, motivating, and supporting groups of young people to successfully take part in activity programmes.

AAUK are seeking a dedicated  Supporter Communications Mailing Officer to support  The Child Sponsorship Communication Programme team's operations. 

This team is responsible for the safeguarding, checking and despatching of over 100,000 child messages, transfer packs and photo updates annually to supporters.  The team will be in receipt of physical child drawings, letters and photos from ActionAid’s operating countries, quality checking for authenticity and importantly, identifying and reporting any child safeguarding issues. The team is responsible for the final matching and despatching of the communications to supporters within the agreed communication timeframe. The team are also involved in the safeguarding and logging of correspondence from child sponsors back to the children who are sponsored. 

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be asked to participate in criminal records checks at the point of offer.

To deliver this ambition, a detailed net zero carbon programme that has been developed is being implemented to decarbonise the 587 churches, 57 school and 451 domestic properties for clergy within the diocese.

We are recognised as a leading diocese within the whole of the Church of England’s NZC programme, and we anticipate being at the forefront of seeking funding for decarbonisation projects in this sector.

A recent piece of research for the Diocese of Leeds has identified potential NZC funding sources across including community funding, grant funding, statutory funding, high net worth individuals, corporate donors. A funding action plan has been proposed.

To support this extensive programme of work we are seeking an experienced Funding Officer to work alongside a growing vibrant and committed diocesan team of NZC officers. The diocese has gained national Church of England funding to support this role until the end 2025.
