The Role
The Foundation are looking for an excellent Head of Foundation to provide strategic leadership over a period of 15-18 months.
This role assumes overall responsibility for the Wimbledon Foundation, its strategic direction and all activities. This position is a key appointment, and the role holder will lead the Foundation team, work closely with the Trustees, and build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. Following a significant period of change the Foundation is celebrating it’s 10-year anniversary and implementing a new strategy.
The Person
We are looking for an individual with a real passion for making a difference to those living in disadvantaged communities and the drive to build on Foundation achievements to date, in the local area and further afield. A flair for communication in a variety of settings would go a long way, together with the ability to maintain a strong team.
Key attributes include:
- A proven track record of strategic thinking and ability to see the whole picture, as well as close attention to detail.
- You will have significant, relevant experience in a charity, community or grant making organisation at senior management level, including administration of the allocation of charitable funds.
- A solid understanding, and knowledge of, Charity law and governance.
- Experience in effectively leading a team, establishing and leading community related programmes, working with local authorities, schools and charities.
- Professional and diplomatic with excellent interpersonal, networking and influencing skills.
- Experience of, or comfortable with, public speaking including media and press.
- Experienced at building and maintaining effective working relationships and working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including working with non-executive or charitable boards.
- Strong general management skills, including team leadership, experience in financial management and charity board reporting.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, work flexibly and deliver under pressure.
- Highly numerate, with an excellent knowledge of budgeting/financial reporting and the ability to analyse complex information and figures.
- Integrity and empathy with an ability to relate to people from all social sectors.
- Imagination, drive and determination to ensure successful conclusion of tasks, experienced at leading cross-functional work streams and projects.
- Excellent IT and communication skills both written and verbal, including the ability to write succinct and accurate reports and make high level presentations to the wider business and key stakeholders.
- You’ll have experience of working in a corporate foundation or charitable activities linked to a parent company, with an enthusiasm for the Foundation’s work.

JOB SUMMARY
- To be responsible for all aspects of finance, governance, legal and secretarial activities for the organisations.

Main responsibilities
- Lead on the implementation of a finance and accounting system that delivers automation to ensure that efficient and effective financial processes are in place for day-to-day financial operations including general ledgers, invoicing sponsors, receiving government grant funds, payments to suppliers and payroll, cash flow forecasts, foreign currency exposures and currency management
- Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, regular management accounts, analyses and insights for presentation to budget holders, the senior management team.
- Lead and develop the implementation of a finance strategy to support management of resources.
- Responsible for the preparation of the annual reports and financial statements of all group entities in accordance with UK accounting standards, Charity Commission and company law requirements.
- Build and support relationships with funding partners from philanthropic foundations to individual donors
- Provide financial strategic advice
- Build relationship with the Commission’s investment manager and monitor performance of the investment portfolio.
- Design and implement the risk management process, ensure that appropriate insurance policies are in place.

Role purpose
• To provide leadership to Caxton for the charity to achieve its mission and deliver to its

Main Responsibilities
Leadership
• Provide, develop and implement Caxton’s strategic and operational plans, leading on

• Provide leadership for all Caxton employees, volunteers and associates including
direct management responsibility for three employees to ensure that Caxton delivers a
safe, effective and fun service for all of its members and their families.
Strategy
• To deliver the 2023-26 strategy.
• Implement a strategy review in the Autumn and tailor the operational plan accordingly.
• Identify and assess strategic risks, issues and opportunities and take responsibility for initiating and leading associated changes, with agreement from trustees.
Business Development:
• Work closely with the Fundraising Manager to ensure Caxton raises c.£500k pa to maintain in-years services.
• Work towards the achievement of long-term sustainability, developing the charity’s business model and maximising income, for example from fundraising, service contracts and earned income.
• To lead on the development of Caxton’s outdoor base and capital campaign

Financial Control and Governance
• Liaise with the Board, Senior Management Team and Accountants to ensure that the charity’s overall governance structure, policies and procedures are appropriate and effective, taking remedial measures and implementing changes as necessary in line with legal requirements and good practice.
• To ensure that adequate finance is available and to work with the Treasurer and the Finance and Facilities Officer, to produce regular management accounts and annual audited accounts in line with requirements.
• To attend all board meetings and quarterly subcommittee meetings, working with trustees on strategic matters.
Buildings Management
• To take accountability for the building management and compliance, working with the finance and facilities officer to ensure regular checks are made and the building is maintained within a budget.
Day-to-day Management
• Day-to-day management of the service to ensure it continues to be safe and effective. This includes being the safeguarding lead for the organisation.
Youth Government and Leadership
• To attend monthly Youth Government meetings and ensure that you are always amplifying the youth voice.
• To communicate effectively with young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities.
• To liaise with external agencies and create new opportunities for youth leadership.
External Relations
• To develop and maintain positive relationships with private sector donors, statutory, partners and funding organisations.
• To develop and maintain positive relationships with partners, local businesses, funders and other voluntary organisations, building alliances and networks to further the work of Caxton Youth Organisation.

About the Role

Aims:
- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
- Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person

Context of role:
The Director of Operations is a Senior Leadership role supporting the CEO in the strategic leadership and management of 2wish. We are in an exciting transition period where the organisation is expanding and this is a new role in our staff team that has been created to support our ambitious CEO to deliver our new strategic plan whilst ensuring we maintain operational excellence and high performance.

Hours:
Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu
Annual leave:
28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.
Pension:
2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).
Mileage:
A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.

2wish currently offers a form of hybrid working and this will continue for the foreseeable future. This post will continue to include home working, with the expectation on the successful candidate to travel to 2wish Head Office regularly. About the role:
As the Director of Services, you will provide senior strategic leadership for all Advance services across London, East and South England, including our Domestic abuse services, Criminal Justice services and Women’s Centres, Diversion services, Young Women’s services and other work which compliments the mission and values of Advance.
The Director of Services will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships and engagement with voluntary and statutory partners, funders and commissioners. · A proven track record of senior leadership in providing services to women experiencing violence and abuse, women in contact with the criminal justice system or similar social care or social justice services
· Exemplary relationship and networking skills, experience of developing and maintaining strong partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
· Thorough knowledge of safeguarding adults and child protection issues
· An excellent understanding of management and quality assurance processes and systems such as Women’s Aid accreditation framework.
· Experience of managing and working within budgets and of tendering/fundraising processes.
· Ability to lead by example, inspire and motivate teams and manage a complex workload.

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and passionate Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to join us at
an exciting stage in our history at SiMBA, as we embark on embedding and delivering upon a
refreshed vision, mission and strategy.
Our CEO will lead our team in meeting our strategic goals, work in collaboration with our Board of
Trustees to develop our strategic direction, and ensure that we are operationally effective whilst
raising the profile of SiMBA within the bereavement care sector.
Our CEO will focus on building strategic partnerships with other organisations with aligned goals and
values, cementing SiMBA’s niche amongst the range of charities who support bereaved families
through the loss of their baby, and will empower our fundraising team to raise the funds necessary
to achieve our goals.
Having a strong grasp of the challenges facing the Charity and bringing creativity, a practical and
commercial approach to decision making, as well as being a ‘people person’ is essential to help SiMBA
support as many bereaved families as possible in Scotland to grieve, honour and remember their
precious baby.
Expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and effective charity governance is critical.
Our CEO must guide our hard-working and dedicated team as we refine our offer and build our
impact and reach within Scotland.
Our CEO, along with all of our team, will have contact with people who have experienced the loss
of a baby; parents, family members, friends, colleagues and healthcare professionals who are
supporting them. Therefore, it is important to feel comfortable working in a bereavement
care environment and talking about baby loss with multiple stakeholders.
