The Role
The Foundation are looking for an excellent Head of Foundation to provide strategic leadership over a period of 15-18 months.
This role assumes overall responsibility for the Wimbledon Foundation, its strategic direction and all activities. This position is a key appointment, and the role holder will lead the Foundation team, work closely with the Trustees, and build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. Following a significant period of change the Foundation is celebrating it’s 10-year anniversary and implementing a new strategy.
The Person
We are looking for an individual with a real passion for making a difference to those living in disadvantaged communities and the drive to build on Foundation achievements to date, in the local area and further afield. A flair for communication in a variety of settings would go a long way, together with the ability to maintain a strong team.
Key attributes include:
- A proven track record of strategic thinking and ability to see the whole picture, as well as close attention to detail.
- You will have significant, relevant experience in a charity, community or grant making organisation at senior management level, including administration of the allocation of charitable funds.
- A solid understanding, and knowledge of, Charity law and governance.
- Experience in effectively leading a team, establishing and leading community related programmes, working with local authorities, schools and charities.
- Professional and diplomatic with excellent interpersonal, networking and influencing skills.
- Experience of, or comfortable with, public speaking including media and press.
- Experienced at building and maintaining effective working relationships and working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including working with non-executive or charitable boards.
- Strong general management skills, including team leadership, experience in financial management and charity board reporting.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, work flexibly and deliver under pressure.
- Highly numerate, with an excellent knowledge of budgeting/financial reporting and the ability to analyse complex information and figures.
- Integrity and empathy with an ability to relate to people from all social sectors.
- Imagination, drive and determination to ensure successful conclusion of tasks, experienced at leading cross-functional work streams and projects.
- Excellent IT and communication skills both written and verbal, including the ability to write succinct and accurate reports and make high level presentations to the wider business and key stakeholders.
- You’ll have experience of working in a corporate foundation or charitable activities linked to a parent company, with an enthusiasm for the Foundation’s work.

Galop is the UK's LGBT+ anti-abuse charity, working with and for LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse and violence.
Galop works directly with thousands of LGBT+ people who have experienced Gender Based Violence every year. Specialising in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, honour-based abuse, forced marriage, so-called conversion therapies, and other forms of interpersonal abuse. Galop uses what is learnt through working on the frontlines with clients to work on national and local policy change, to improve outcomes for LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse and violence.

About the Interim Chief Executive role:
As Interim CEO, you will be joining with a clear mandate to develop and deliver a short-term strategic plan, stepping into the challenge to cover the immediate needs of Galop.
Some of the key areas of responsibility will include:
Working with the Board of Trustees to ensure that Galop continues to work towards achieving its vision, aims and objectives, while also meeting regulatory and good governance requirements and adhering to its values and code of conduct.
Playing a transformational leadership role in the development of an organisation with the culture, values, people, strategy, systems and processes needed to succeed both now and in the future.
Providing strategic vision and leadership to the staff, maintaining staff morale and ensuring an organisational culture which is inclusive, anti-discriminatory and which attracts, motivates and develops a diverse and competent staff.
Leading the organisation in embedding the organisation's Anti-Racism and Diversity & Inclusion Strategy over the next 12 months.
Understanding the current climate around LGBT+ rights in the UK and being confident taking the lead in national conversations around LGBT+ abuse and violence.
Ensuring that LGBT+ survivor engagement is at the centre of Galop's work, ensuring that survivor voice is integral to of all aspects of Galop's development.
Being responsible to the Board for the financial health, probity and viability of Galop, ensuring income from diverse sources is developed and secured, and maintaining reserves in consultation with the Board.
Identifying opportunities to secure income and develop tenders and proposals, and promoting and negotiating agreements to ensure appropriate financial resources are in place to enable the organisation to achieve its objectives and meet fundraising targets in consultation with the Board.
To protect and develop the Galop brand, further building the national profile of the Charity as a values-led organisation delivering high-quality services and expertise in the needs of LGBT+ survivors.
To contribute to donor and partner relationships at the highest level, working with relevant teams to identify and where appropriate lead on approaches to high value potential supporters and funders.
Salary: circa £80k
Location & Hours: Hybrid working model with a minimum two days a week at the Galop office (City of London). Operate on a 35-hour working week, with flexible working arrangements such as compressed hours being considered.

Aims:
- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
- Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
- To provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families
Context of role:
The Director of Operations is a Senior Leadership role supporting the CEO in the strategic leadership and management of 2wish. We are in an exciting transition period where the organisation is expanding and this is a new role in our staff team that has been created to support our ambitious CEO to deliver our new strategic plan whilst ensuring we maintain operational excellence and high performance.
One of our greatest assets is our kind and caring staff team who consistently adhere to the high standards required by our CEO, our Board of Trustees, our funders and our families. We are searching for an experienced, positive and thoughtful individual with a strong background in operations, office management and people management. Hours:
Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu
Annual leave:
28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.
Pension:
2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).
Mileage:
A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.
Location:
2wish currently offers a form of hybrid working and this will continue for the foreseeable future. This post will continue to include home working, with the expectation on the successful candidate to travel to 2wish Head Office regularly. Applicants living in border counties to Wales will be considered, but the applicant must be willing to commit to regular travel to Head Office.

St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity, one of the UK’s leading organisations working to prevent homelessness throughout the UK, is seeking a Director of Income and Engagement to develop and deliver their fundraising, marketing and communications strategy, focused on growing existing revenue streams, as well as introducing new ways to raise funds and increase reach.
St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity exists to try to prevent homelessness. Where it does occur, the organisation supports the delivery of the best possible solutions that enable people experiencing, or about to experience, homelessness to secure and keep a safe place to live. That could mean support through emergency grants to address urgent housing needs, supporting frontline organisations providing access to healthcare, legal advice, and mental health support to help people move on from homelessness.
The charity is now seeking an experienced and transformational leader for this newly created role to lead their fundraising, marketing and communications team and to contribute to the organisation’s strategic and operational planning as a key part of the Leadership Team. The Director of Income & Engagement will also deputise for the Chief Executive Officer where required.
This is a particularly exciting time to join the charity as they build towards their 100th BBC Radio 4 Appeal in 2026, which offers a unique opportunity to develop a dedicated fundraising appeal that builds on the heritage aspects of the St Martin’s association; promotes the SMC charity; looks back at the difference the appeal has made to the lives of people experiencing or at risk from homelessness; and how the need to address homelessness and its root causes today is greater than ever.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of delivering significant and sustainable net income growth from mass engagement fundraising and of developing and successfully implementing cutting-edge fundraising strategies, encompassing a broad range of fundraising streams and related marketing activity. You will be a collaborative and strategic leader with excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence. You will also have the proven ability to motivate and drive your team and to develop and sustain key stakeholder relationships and partnerships, such as with the BBC and across the St Martin’s network.

Respect is a pioneering UK membership organisation in the domestic abuse sector. Founded in 2000, we have built our expertise over the last 23 years in what was then a fledgling sector.
Our vision is to end domestic abuse. It's a simple ask and a daunting task. We know it will take generations of hard work to get there. In the meantime, we want to live in a world where domestic abuse is not tolerated where perpetrators are held to account and survivors' safety and wellbeing is centred.

The management of our finances is of fundamental importance to making the best use of the resources, plan for our future, and to enable robust and timely decision making. As we grow and develop as an organisation we need to ensure that our financial procedures and processes are developed and maintained, along with concise and accurate reporting to funders, our leadership teams and our Board.
Operations is also a crucial area of our work. We have a brilliant and inspirational staff team, a positive working environment and a culture of listening, learning and development. This leadership role is critical in maintaining our organisational culture.
We have recently published a bold and ambitious 5 year strategy (2023-2028) and we are looking for someone to build on the existing work of our finance team, identify areas for improvement and develop our finance systems allowing us to make strategic evidence based financial decisions, helping to shape the use of our resources and the direction of the charity.
