About the organisation:
The Board of Trustees are looking for someone with the drive and vision to lead the organisation through a period of significant development, growth, and challenges. 2020 has been a very difficult year for everyone, we hope 2021 will be a springboard to launch Disability Action Haringey as an organisation which provides disabled people with life opportunities of their choice. This post will be offered on a fixed term contract for a period of 18 months with a possible extension dependent on securing funding. The successful candidate will be a person with lived experience of disability and the ability to establish DAH as an organisation who deliver innovative and sustainable services.
Disability Action Haringey is in the early stages of development we have secured Charity registration and will be operating as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. As a user-led pan-disability Deaf and Disabled Peoples Organisation delivering services, the Trustees are passionate in ensuring Haringey becomes a more inclusive borough where disabled people are seen for their valuable contribution to society and where disabled people have the same life time opportunities as non-disabled people.
About the role:
This is a new role in a newly formed organisation. As CEO you will be expected to:
- Work with the Trustees to develop a business plan for the next 3-5 years
- Manage the day to day operations including recruiting your team
- Securing additional funding to ensure the organisation’s success beyond the initial 18 months.

Both stage 2 and stage 3 of the interview process will be conducted virtually on Microsoft Teams.
Stage 2 will take place week commencing 4th January 2021. Those candidates selected will be asked to deliver a presentation.
Stage 3 will take place week commencing 11th January 2021. Candidates successful at stage 2 will be asked to attend a virtual panel interview.
The successful candidate will be offered the position of Chief Executive Officer, subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
