Disability Advice Service Lambeth (dasl) provides a wide range of services to Disabled people in Lambeth including advice, information, professional and hate crime advocacy, Direct Payments support, social and sports activities and peer support services. Through the Lambeth Independent Living and Carers Partnership we also work with older people and carers. Since we were established as a new independent charity in 2001 we have grown to become Lambeth’s leading pan-impairment Disabled People’s Organisation.
The Administration and Finance Worker is a new post which will provide a central administrative and finance support resource for the senior management team. The role will encompass general office management and HR administration, managing the administration of our growing membership of Disabled people, maintaining financial records, co-ordinating IT issues with our external IT support provider and the supervision of general office volunteers.
You must have strong problem solving, planning, organisational and communication skills and be able to manage your own work and meet deadlines. You should be a competent user of MS office packages and have experience of setting up and managing office systems. Some experience of basic bookkeeping, using social media and websites in a work context and managing staff or volunteers would be an advantage.
