Gympanzees is a multi-award-winning Bristol-based charity. Our mission is to ensure all children and young people with a disability have access to regular exercise, play and friendship. We aim to open multiple exercise and play facilities around the country – the first of which will be in Bristol. This is an exciting time to join an ambitious team who will raise funds for the UK's first centre of its kind.
As the Grants and Statutory Funding Manager, you will be pivotal in securing appropriate grants to meet our annual grant income target at Gympanzees. This position is ideal for someone with proven experience in researching and crafting successful grant applications. You'll be tasked with distilling complex information into compelling narratives that effectively convey our mission and objectives while aligning with grant requirements. Excellent copywriting skills are essential, as you'll need to create engaging and informative content that tells our story authentically. Your approach will be highly organised and methodical to ensure accuracy and compliance with grant briefs. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you'll collaborate closely with a high-level fundraising team to maximize funding opportunities and drive positive impact.

Key Responsibilities
As a Building Safety Officer, you will oversee the delivery of property related safety servicing programmes ensuring that customers are safe, and that we meet and exceed our landlord statutory requirements.
You will ensure compliance with all current legislation relating to Building Safety (gas, fire, electrical, water hygiene, asbestos, lift) whilst having due regard to relevant codes of practice and best practice.
You will lead in the regular monitoring and analysis of statutory compliance performance and the production of statutory compliance related management reports as required.
You will provide compliance administration support to the Head of Asset Management & Development, monitor renewal dates for services and Instruct approved suppliers to undertake service visits when required where Hft holds responsibility of compliance.
You will also be responsible for maintaining Hft’s compliance systems and ensuring compliance certificates and Risk Assessments are completed and filed in Hft’s agreed location.
Who are you?
-You will have an awareness or experience of supported housing, ideally for people with learning disabilities
-You will have experience in housing management or Maintenance and/or Building Compliance, with a proven knowledge and experience in building safety and all aspects of H&S.
-You will have knowledge of social housing issues, equality and diversity, fire safety and understanding of Building Compliance
-You will have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines but maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
-You will have excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will be based in Bristol or within commuting distance, and have a full UK driver's license with access to your own vehicle.

dasl have provided an advocacy service for Lambeth Council for 12 years and since 2020 we have played a key role in the Lambeth Advocacy Hub, a single point of access for all statutory independent advocacy services for Lambeth residents aged 16 and over. We manage referrals and enquiries and provide independent Care Act advocacy and a range of non-statutory advocacy.
We provide a high quality service - we hold the Advocacy Quality Performance Mark.
