We are looking for a Careers Adviser to join our Career Pathways team in Leeds. Career Pathways provides careers advice to disabled young people. It supports them in their transition from youth to adulthood.

About the role
Career Pathways equips young disabled people with knowledge and confidence. The service enables them to fulfil their career aspirations and personal goals.
As a Careers Adviser you will be giving careers advice to young disabled people in schools across Leeds, at our office and online. We are offering a hybrid model of delivery so working from home for part of your week is available.
About you
- You will have experience of supporting young disabled people to build their confidence and work towards their goals. This could be in either an education or social care setting.
- You will have the confidence to deliver 1:1 and group sessions. These will take place in person and online.
- You will be able to produce clear and relevant action plans. These action plans will aid customers to explore and achieve their career goals

People to Places is a charitable organisation based in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, UK. It provides a community transport service for residents of the area who have transportation and/or mobility issues due to age, sickness or disability (mental or physical), poverty, or because of a lack of adequate and safe public transport services. With a fleet of minibuses specially adapted to assist people with mobility equipment or additional mobility needs, People to Places delivers high-quality services aimed at improving social inclusion and accessibility. In addition, we also provide Shopmobility services in Windsor and Maidenhead town centres, this service provides the loan of wheelchairs and mobility scooters to people with limited mobility, to help them shop and access leisure and commercial facilities within the area.
We’ve been fundraising since 1988, but this newly created role allows you to consolidate our past successes, significantly diversifying and enhancing the quality and value of our supporter base.
As a senior manager in the organisation, this post gives you the opportunity to develop our support for local people who are lonely, isolated and with little or no mobility. Therefore, you will contribute to enhancing the organisation, as well as playing a critical fundraising role.
You are ambitious, with the drive and expertise across a range of fundraising activities. So, you will have:
- Experience with identifying funding opportunities, particularly through grants, maintaining a pipeline of opportunities, taking a creative approach to problem solving, to capitalise on opportunities.
- A good track record of achieving fundraising targets, generating income through a range of sources including Trusts/high net worth individuals, Corporate Partners and Commissioned Services.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, with the ability to create compelling cases for support and delivering impactful presentations that tell stories and lead to new supporters getting involved.
- A strategic and evidence-led approach to measure impact and influence change, with strong influencing skills in a range of settings.
- Nurturing and growing relationships with a range of stakeholders and able to quickly build trust and confidence including working with and building strong, positive relationships with Trustees and our keen volunteer base.
With excellent organisational and prioritising skills, risk management and decision making, ideally you will have team leadership experience including volunteer management or delivering fundraising through the use of volunteers. An understanding of the needs of people with mobility issues and disabilities is desirable but not essential.
Location: Our main office is located in Maidenhead and we have Shopmobility offices in Windsor and Maidenhead that may also be used.

About the role
As a Business Support Officer, you will support individual areas and provide positive and timely business support for the Care and Support function to meet their delivery of organisation business processes. About the role
Alongside the Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service. You will support the Service Manager to manage and ensure the delivery of the service’s key quality and safety priorities by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the supported living activity/service. You will also have delegated responsibility for the direct supervision and line management of a team of support workers. As a Deputy Service Manager, flexibility is important for both you and for the service. You will be required to do on-call shifts during out of office hours. You will be expected to work 20% of your total weekly hours on shift across your assigned services and will be able to role model all aspects of a support worker role duties and responsibilities. Following your time on shift, and in general practice at all other times, you will have responsibility for reporting back to the Service Manager and for maintaining a continual dialogue loop of feedback that focuses on quality, and continuous improvement and learning and ensuring the smooth operation of the allocated group of services.

To provide comprehensive advocacy to people facing disabling barriers, with a non-judgemental approach to ensure that individuals can make informed decisions about their lives.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Hate Crime Reporting Coordinator. As Hate Crimes are still under reported, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in increasing awareness of Hate Crime in Barnet and working on a multi-agency basis to coordinate community awareness raising events, ensuring residents, statutory and voluntary organisations, and others are informed about Hate Crime and know how to report it.
This role requires community engagement, delivering staff training workshops, monitoring and reporting hate crime data, and a commitment to a victim-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities:
· Engage with residents and diverse communities, including disabled people, LGBTQ+ groups, and Gypsy Roma Traveller groups to raise awareness about reporting hate crime.
· Coordinate communications and community events to raise awareness of Hate Crime and encourage reporting.
· Organise and conduct workshops and forums for diverse community groups.
· Train staff and volunteers to identify hate crime and support clients to report incidents to the Police.
· Monitor national and local hate crime data, including incidents recorded by Barnet Hate Crime Reporting Centres and produce quarterly reports of the work to tackle Hate crime in Barnet
· Support victims to report hate crimes and incidents to the Police and signpost to relevant support organisations.
· Support Barnet’s network of Hate Crime Reporting Centres including co-ordinated communications and staff training.
· Develop Barnet’s Safe Places Scheme for people with learning disabilities, autistic adults and adults-at-risk.
