Whizz Kidz is a leading charity organisation that provides mobility equipment, training and life skills for children and young people with disabilities.
It is an exciting time to join Whizz Kidz, where you will account manage a range of corporate partners. You will enhance and expand relationships with current supporters through the planning, implementation and successful delivery of partnership activity while also building strong relationships, delivering against financial and non-financial objectives and ensuring maximising the life-time potential of these partnerships.
You will also work closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships and Business Development team to work on and support new business activity so we create inspiring, compelling and innovate funding proposals which will secure new long-term partnerships to broaden the portfolio of supporters for young wheelchair users.
As Corporate Partnerships Manager (Account Management), you will:
- Account manage and build strong relationships with corporate partners at 5- and 6-figre level supporting a team income target of c.£1.25m
- Devise and implement account management and stewardship plans for partnerships to deliver outstanding relationship management and long-term engagement
- Build strong networks within partner companies by successfully engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Identify added value opportunities within partnerships that can benefit the wider organisations aims and objectives

We are working in partnership with a charity committed to ensuring that every child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) get the very best start in the early years. They currently run specialist centres in Reading, West Berkshire (Newbury), Wokingham, Gloucester and Southampton, provide support and information for families, and lead training for mainstream nurseries across the UK to enable them to be more inclusive.
Their vision is a world where young children with SEND get the same opportunities as other children to play and learn in their local community alongside their peers.
They are a dynamic, growing organisation and due to growth, the Head of Fundraising role will focus on shifting the fundraising function from a small charity to a medium charity model, increasing the size of grants and donations and building a long-term strategy for income growth. They expect to grow the fundraising team in the coming years and this role will be instrumental in building a strong team.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
- An excellent track record of securing significant funds through a variety of income streams.
- Strong understanding of best fundraising practice and ideally a qualification
- A proven track record of building positive relationships with corporate and major donor partners.
- Excellent writing skills and understand what it takes to make successful bids in line with organisational targets.
- You will have excellent organisational skills, maintaining clear plans and logs of activity that are shared with the leadership team.
- You will be comfortable working remotely, and motivating yourself, as there is no permanent office for the central team who meet weekly.
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead and drive our fundraising function, ensuring the organisation has sufficient income, and explore opportunities for continued income growth. With experience of effective income generation across all income streams, you will have specific focus on the growth areas of Corporate Giving and Philanthropic Giving, confidently seeking and developing long term relationships. You will also represent the organisation to external stakeholders, ensure donor stewardship is effective, and build our donor base locally and nationally in line with our national expansion.

About the role
You’ll be taking ownership of community and events fundraising at Newlife. It will be up to you to dictate how these programmes look. Working closely with the Head of Community and Corporate Partnerships, you will devise a three-year strategy, targeting key areas of growth in community fundraising, challenge events and special events.
This role will be what you make of it. Newlife is seeking someone who can bring fresh ideas and approaches. You will be empowered to try new things and learn from the process as you define exactly how community and events fundraising looks at Newlife. You’ll play a key role in devising ambitious but realistic targets and will be fully supported across the organisation to achieve them, an integrated and holistic approach to fundraising is key for Newlife. There is a huge capacity for growth within the charity, both in the local area and across the country, so a significant uplift in fundraised income is highly achievable.
You’ll be leading a team of passionate community fundraisers with great links in their local area as well as the guile and motivation to raise and events fundraisers who have successfully run several challenge events across the country. You will work with the team to come up with new and innovative ways of fundraising that raise the profile of Newlife to create and seize opportunities.

After a year of fundraising growth, we are ambitious to achieve more and are looking for a brilliant marketer to help us get to know our supporter audiences better and lead the creation of engaging, inspiring campaigns and materials to drive engagement and income generation.
You’ll be great if you have:
- Experience in leading campaigns aimed at raising funds and working with teams to align marketing activities with fundraising goals.
- Experience in developing compelling messaging and design assets for various channels, including social media, email and print.
- Knowledge on how to effectively monitor campaign performance and analyse data, using these insights to support future strategies.
- A background in fundraising or wider charity comms would be ideal (but not essential).
