As Senior Individual Giving Fundraiser (Retention), you will work as part of the Public Fundraising team responsible for managing a portfolio of Individual Giving campaigns from inception through to evaluation to generate funds, improve engagement and increase life time value of existing supporters. The Individual Giving team generates over £12m of unrestricted income from new and existing supporters.
As Senior Individual Giving Fundraiser (Retention), you will:
- Recruit and retain financial supporters for Scope across a range of Individual Giving Products (regular giving, lottery, payroll giving, cash and raffle) using a mix of channels
- Provide a data and insight-led, audience-focused and rewarding supporter journey that maximises lifetime value of the supporter
- Support the Individual Giving Lead with the strategic development and delivery of the supporter retention and development programme
- Manage the relationship with external suppliers, managing the regular reports, conducting quarterly planning sessions, and being the lead contact for day-to-day activity
Ideal skills and experience:
- Direct experience of a range of direct marketing channels including direct mail, email and telefundraisng
- Strong knowledge of regular giving, lottery and cash supporter retention programme strategies
- Experience of success in delivering results as set out in a departmental budget
- Experience of managing external agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver successful campaigns

Newlife is the UK’s largest charitable provider of specialist equipment for disabled children. They were founded 30 years ago to provide disabled and terminally ill children the best possible start through life by providing the essential but expensive medical equipment they need to reach their full potential.
There are 1.7 million disabled and terminally ill children in the UK, many of whom miss out on life’s opportunities because they don’t have access to the specialist equipment they need. Newlife provides thousands of these children with this life-saving and life-changing equipment, enabling them to lead happy and fulfilling lives.

About the role
You’ll be taking ownership of community and events fundraising at Newlife. It will be up to you to dictate how these programmes look. Working closely with the Head of Community and Corporate Partnerships, you will devise a three-year strategy, targeting key areas of growth in community fundraising, challenge events and special events.
This role will be what you make of it. Newlife is seeking someone who can bring fresh ideas and approaches. You will be empowered to try new things and learn from the process as you define exactly how community and events fundraising looks at Newlife. You’ll play a key role in devising ambitious but realistic targets and will be fully supported across the organisation to achieve them, an integrated and holistic approach to fundraising is key for Newlife. There is a huge capacity for growth within the charity, both in the local area and across the country, so a significant uplift in fundraised income is highly achievable.
You’ll be leading a team of passionate community fundraisers with great links in their local area as well as the guile and motivation to raise and events fundraisers who have successfully run several challenge events across the country. You will work with the team to come up with new and innovative ways of fundraising that raise the profile of Newlife to create and seize opportunities.

Mencap – Senior Philanthropy Manager
Location: London, E1. Hybrid working.

This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of new and existing relationships for Mencap with philanthropists and grant-makers, providing first class creative relationship management, proactive engagement and efficient reporting, as well as securing five and six figure gifts. The post-holder will also build and manage a pipeline of sustainable income, with a heavy focus on acquisition, supported by the High Value Relationships Lead and Senior Leaders across the organisation.
Mencap is seeking a professional fundraiser with a talent for philanthropy acquisition and securing five-figure+ sums from Major Donors. The ideal candidate will have an ambitious and creative approach to Major Donor fundraising with excellent relationships management abilities and the gravitas and skill to influence and engage cold and warm contacts.
You will have proven experience of building long-term effective relationships with senior stakeholders, both internal and external and of project management and cross-organisational working. Strong written and verbal communication skills will be a must, as well as being a strategic thinker with the ability to convey complex and emotive topics in a clear and compelling way. Finally, you share Mencap’s passion about changing the world for everyone with a learning disability.

It will be responsible for developing compelling and strategically aligned applications to secure funding through various funding bodies and contribute significantly to the financial team target. The post-holder will also identify and research prospective donors that have the potential to support the organisation’s work, through internal networks and undertaking external research.
Mencap is seeking an ambitious and creative fundraiser with demonstrable experience of securing five figure+ sums through compelling cases from trusts, statutory funders and similar funding bodies. You will also significant experience working with and to financial and non-financial KPIs, as well as of project management and cross-organisational working.
Alongside a strong knowledge and understanding of Trust and Statutory Fundraising, key issues and opportunities, you will have the ability to engage and inspire internal and external stakeholders. You will also have a results driven focus, with the ability to thrive in a busy work environment and work to deadlines. The Talent Set are delighted to be working with an amazing disability charity to find their brand-new Senior Supporter Fundraising Executive.
The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working 2 days per week from their London office.
Reporting into the Head of Marketing, this role requires a highly motivated and experienced fundraiser to take responsibility for managing all aspects of individual giving, the London Marathon stewardship and elements of Legacy marketing. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing campaigns to maximise fundraising efforts and ensure the long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement campaigns to cultivate and steward individual donors and regular givers. Responsibility for major donors is held by the Trusts and Philanthropy team.
· Create personalised donor engagement plans to build strong relationships and increase donor retention.
· Identify new opportunities for donor acquisition and develop targeted fundraising campaigns.
· Deliver new fundraising products such as a membership-style value exchange offering.
· Develop and implement effective stewardship programmes to recognise and thank donors for their contributions.
· Provide timely and personalised acknowledgement of donations, including personalised thank-you letters, emails, and phone calls.
· Collaborate with the wider marketing team to create compelling legacy marketing materials and campaigns.
· You will be involved in the London Marathon. Creating and delivering a stewardship programme for runners, including organising support and a post-event party on the day of the event.
Person Specification:
· Experience in fundraising, with a focus on individual giving, stewardship, legacy marketing.
· Experience in managing fundraising campaigns and events.
· Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors and stakeholders.
· Proficiency in using fundraising software and CRM systems.
· Building and maintaining constructive collaborative relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts to achieve identified objectives and outcomes.
