We are looking for a friendly, organised individual to join our small team as the Operations Officer. You will help underpin the work of Music as Therapy International, a charity which inspires, guides and champions the use of music to strengthen care around the world.
Working closely with the charity’s existing team, responsibilities will include:Project Administration, External comms, Financial Administration, Fundraising, Governance, and Team Administration.
Our Operations Officer will need to be a positive and pro-active team player, who is systematic in their approach to administration, and gives strong attention to detail. We’re looking for an excellent communicator (in written and spoken English) given the part they will play in our use of External Comms. They will have charitable mindset and a real interest in the impact of our work. Strong numeracy skills are also integral to this role.
It is a broad role with plenty of opportunities for agency, and scope to progress and specialise with experience. It would suit someone keen to immerse themselves in all aspects of working with a small charity, whether at the start of their career or following experience acquired in other sectors.
The role is office-based (at the Oval, SW9) and may be undertaken within a 4 or 5 day/week contract (negotiable).

Your new role
Working as an income controller, reporting to the Senior Management Accountant. The role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office per week) and a great work culture.
- Take full control of the billing function, adhoc billing and checking that scheduled payments are validated.
- You will also be responsible for credit control and reporting, working alongside the management accounts team.
- Management and ownership of the sales ledger across 5 different entities.
- Strong ownership of the credit control function, liaising with over 14 local authorities to ensure that invoices are paid in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that scheduled payments are received and differences are followed up.
- Work with the management accounts team at month end to provide accruals and deferrals.

Vibrance is a registered charity, established for over 30 years, supporting adults with a disability in London and Essex. We are looking for an exceptional person to take on the role of Treasurer/Trustee. The successful candidate will have a background in finance, strategy, governance and risk management overseeing a charity with an annual turnover in excess of £15m.
As well the skills and experience listed below applicants must be able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards disability and the principle of people with a disability being on control of their lives.

Skills and experience:
Essential
- Practising or retired from senior finance professional (i.e. Accountant, Finance Manager, Finance Director)
- AAT qualified

Are you looking for a part-time, flexible role where your exceptional writing and influenceing skills can help drive much needed systemic change?
This role is 15 hours a week which can be scheduled around your commitments and based from any location. You will have the option to join the team in Bermondsey, central London on occasion but the role can be fully remote.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and working alongside a full time Trusts and Foundations Manager, you will play a vital role in raising funds to support AVUK’s 10-year plan which will transform the life opportunities for deaf children in the UK. With experience of securing five and six figure sums from Trusts and Foundations and grant making bodies, you will identify and secure high-value partnerships taking us closer to our goal of raising just over £2m a year.
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, CEO and Senior Management Team, you will develop high-quality, compelling proposals to secure significant funding partnerships that will transform life outcomes for deaf children.
Through exceptional research, bid writing and stewardship you will focus on securing six-figure plus funding partnerships and mange relationships for long term impact.
Research
- Research and identify prospective trusts and foundations and other grant giving bodies
- Grow and maintain a strong trust funding pipeline, creating new trust prospects for our priority funding areas
Fundraising
- Identify and manage a pipeline of high-value prospects and opportunities which have the potential of delivering five and six figure grants.
- Work with colleagues across Auditory Verbal UK to develop and submit high-value and high-quality trust and foundation bids, creating a compelling narrative, budget and outcomes for a range short, medium and long term projects towards our vision
- Develop personalised relationships with Trust and Foundation trustees and trust administrators, maximising every opportunity for cultivation and development
- Plan and organise opportunities for funders to view AVUK’s work first-hand, ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed and met
- Represent AVUK at face-to-face meetings with donors and prospects, successfully engaging them with the charities aims and objectives
Reporting
- Compile comprehensive and compelling progress reports to feed back to grant makers in a timely fashion and incentivise continued support
- Alongside the Director of Finance and Operations, prepare accurate budgets detailing spending of specific grants
- Draw down on any multi-year grants as outlined in our annual budget
- Provide briefing notes and income pipeline on donor activities and potential funding opportunities
Essential
- Demonstrable success in securing six figure partnerships
- Proven experience of devising budgets and project plans and reporting against them
- Understanding of sector best practice and relevant fundraising/charity legislation
- Highly skilled communicator with fine-tuned influencing and relationship building skills
Desirable

It provides a community transport service for residents of the area who have transportation and/or mobility issues due to age, sickness or disability (mental or physical), poverty, or because of a lack of adequate and safe public transport services. With a fleet of minibuses specially adapted to assist people with mobility equipment or additional mobility needs, People to Places delivers high-quality services aimed at improving social inclusion and accessibility. In addition, we also provide Shopmobility services in Windsor and Maidenhead town centres, this service provides the loan of wheelchairs and mobility scooters to people with limited mobility, to help them shop and access leisure and commercial facilities within the area.
We’ve been fundraising since 1988, but this newly created role allows you to consolidate our past successes, significantly diversifying and enhancing the quality and value of our supporter base.
As a senior manager in the organisation, this post gives you the opportunity to develop our support for local people who are lonely, isolated and with little or no mobility. Therefore, you will contribute to enhancing the organisation, as well as playing a critical fundraising role.
You are ambitious, with the drive and expertise across a range of fundraising activities. So, you will have:
- Experience with identifying funding opportunities, particularly through grants, maintaining a pipeline of opportunities, taking a creative approach to problem solving, to capitalise on opportunities.
- A good track record of achieving fundraising targets, generating income through a range of sources including Trusts/high net worth individuals, Corporate Partners and Commissioned Services.

- A strategic and evidence-led approach to measure impact and influence change, with strong influencing skills in a range of settings.
- Nurturing and growing relationships with a range of stakeholders and able to quickly build trust and confidence including working with and building strong, positive relationships with Trustees and our keen volunteer base.
With excellent organisational and prioritising skills, risk management and decision making, ideally you will have team leadership experience including volunteer management or delivering fundraising through the use of volunteers. An understanding of the needs of people with mobility issues and disabilities is desirable but not essential.
Location: Our main office is located in Maidenhead and we have Shopmobility offices in Windsor and Maidenhead that may also be used.
Hybrid working is available, in the context that, initially at least, this post needs to be highly visible, both internally and externally.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday including some evenings and weekends
