Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 15,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Campaigns Assistant to join our passionate team playing a key role in supporting the development and delivery of our varied and exciting initiatives aimed at helping the public become the best dog owners they can be, contributing to our mission to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life.

The Dogs Trust Campaigns department works to establish responsible dog ownership in the UK, while advising the public we also engage with local authorities, government bodies vet surgeries, media and others all working together towards our common goal.  Our campaigns such as “Dogs Die in Hot Cars” or “Collar Chip Change” have made a difference and we want you to help us achieve even more positive change.

In this exciting role you will be able to get involved in all aspects of campaigning: from identifying dog welfare issues, through to measuring impact and evaluation. You’ll be intrinsic in bridging the work of the campaigns team with other departments across the organisation to ensure all work has maximum impact. This will involve responding to all telephone, email and written enquiries coming into the department, supporting the development and management of relevant databases as well as drafting and updating campaign materials. Helping the team maintain and crate new on-going relationships you will also support regional team to ensure all campaign activity is co-ordinated and consistent.

Educated to A level or equivalent you will have a demonstrable experience of supporting behaviour change, marketing or communication campaigns as well as providing administrative support. With excellent written and spoken communication skills you will be experienced in producing clear and engaging copy relevant to its audience.
