Are you an experienced and personable manager with a background in financial planning and management accounting?
We are seeking a Finance Business Partnering Manager to lead our committed and friendly team within the Finance department. The main roles of the team are to produce the annual budget and forecasts, and work with budget holders to complete accurate monthly management accounts. In addition the role will support the Financial Accounting team in producing the year end statutory accounts.
Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 15,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.
In this key role you will manage a team of five, as well as expanding the business partnering support offered by the team as a whole. You will manage the monthly management accounts process, including KPIs and other reporting, prepare the annual budget and forecasts, assist with year-end processes, and continue to help on our journey of continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role you will be have extensive experience in management accounting and will have previously managed a team. You will also have experience of implementing and strengthening month end systems and processes. You will have a relevant qualification, such as ACA, CIMA or ACCA, and will be an effective business partner, with a proactive approach to your work and the ability to juggle conflicting priorities, whilst maintaining an excellent eye for detail.
