Job description

Are you experienced in Face to Face Fundraising with a genuine passion for dog welfare?  Could your passion and enthusiasm help us to raise vital funds for our work with stray and abandoned dogs?

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres, training schools and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 9,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

We are reliant on voluntary donations in order to continue our work. The Donor Recruitment team is responsible for increasing the Dogs Trust supporter base by recruiting donors across all channels and products, including but not limited to Sponsor a Dog, Regular Giving and Membership.

Reporting to the Direct Dialogue Manager and working alongside our existing two Fundraising Officers and three Fundraising Assistants, you will be responsible for managing multiple direct dialogue campaigns across Face to Face and Telephone Fundraising. The role will require some travel and very occasional irregular office hours. To be successful in this role you will be a fantastic communicator and a real team player.  You will have experience in a fundraising team, ideally having worked on a face-to-face acquisition campaign, as well as being organised, attentive to detail, and with the ability to juggle competing demands under pressure. An empathy with Dogs Trust supporters, in particular dog sponsors is also essential in this post.

In return for all of this, we have a comprehensive benefits package, which includes excellent annual leave and pension allowances, and you will you join a team of highly professional and driven colleagues in a brilliant upbeat and collaborative environment, all with a genuine passion for dog welfare.

To apply for this position please click the APPLY NOW button. Our application process requires you submit a CV and a cover letter explaining your interest and suitability for the role.

The location of this role will be our London head office. However, due to current COVID 19 restrictions, we expect that successful applicants will begin the role working from home, and are likely to be offered flexible working in the future.
