This is an exciting opportunity to join a major national charity in a brand new a role. We are looking for a Governance Officer help us implement processes and systems that support a culture of good governance across the organisation.
Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 9,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.
In this role you will support and coordinate the implementation of the governance strategy, championing best practice through the development of new governance processes and policies. For example, developing our organisational compliance register and refining our policy development process.
With significant experienced in supporting a charity or not-for-profit at the board level you will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work well under pressure.
A law degree or ICSA qualification is desirable, alongside an interest in the charity sector.
