We are seeking a Team Assistant to provide administrative support to the Public Affairs Team and members of the Senior Veterinary Team, as well as assisting on interesting and diverse projects.
Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 15,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.
The veterinary team is responsible for devising and ensuring the agreed standards of health and wellbeing of dogs in Dogs Trust care are appropriately implemented across our 20 Centres and for dogs currently in foster care. In addition, the team also provides professional veterinary input into Campaigns, Public Affairs and Outreach where clear medical input is required with regard to ensuring animal health and welfare.
The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, with a flexible but methodical approach to work, and will be happy to work in a busy team environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with good organisational and interpersonal skills. An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office is also required, as is experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential matters in a professional manner.
