Job description

Is your dream job looking at pictures and videos of dogs all day? Do you have a creative mind and can swiftly produce thumb-stopping graphics and film? Then this could be the role for you!

We are seeking a proactive and imaginative individual to to produce stand-out, creative assets, with a particular focus on video. You will be fantastic at telling stories and helping to inspire and engage our audiences to take action. You need to be experienced in filming, editing and commissioning video, and have a proven track record producing on-brand content that increases awareness and engagement.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops.  Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 15,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

Communications and Digital plays a central role at Dogs Trust. We help people know, love and understand the charity and take action to support the charity’s work. We use our understanding of Dogs Trust and audience need to produce impactful and creative on-brand communications, liaising with the media and celebrities, and engaging directly with our supporters. We also play a crucial role in evolving the digital supporter experience and use our internal communications expertise to communicate key messages to employees across Dogs Trust.

The Content and Stories team focuses on bringing Dogs Trust to life through words and images. They create amazing on-brand graphics and videos, they manage our image library and case studies, helping the organisation tell our story, and they produce our publications – including our much-loved supporter publication, Wag.

In this role you will be creating content yourself as well as project managing content delivery  so that Dogs Trust showcases the range of what it does, in a way that gets people to stop and take notice. You will liaise closely with agencies and freelancers, ensuring that all work is of high quality and is produced on time and to budget.

To be successful in this role you need to show us videos you have created yourself as well as ones you have commissioned, which have got results. If you have experience in filming animals then even better.  You will also be experienced at producing graphics and editing images and have a strong understanding of brand guidelines.
