Are you a proactive, well organised Administrator? Do you have previous experience of working with volunteers?

We are recruiting for a Volunteering Development Administrator to provide support to the Volunteering Development Manager (VDM), helping to embed consistent volunteering management practice and positive volunteering experiences across Dogs Trust.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 15,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

The Volunteering team is a small but integral team based within HR, working hard to deliver a rewarding volunteering experience for all of our 3500+ volunteers across more than 70 workplaces. We work to establish, embed and develop best practice for volunteer management including recruitment, training and volunteer engagement, as well as providing pragmatic and principled guidance on volunteering issues.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent administrative skills, brilliant attention to detail and a systematic approach to your work. You will be an exceptional communicator, who is able to convey information clearly and concisely, and you will have a real 'can-do' attitude.

Dogs Trust is a professional and friendly organisation and the HR team of 25 works well together. You need to be conscientious, very well organised, flexible, friendly and discreet with a genuine interest in and commitment to Dogs Trust's ethos and aims. In this post there may be a requirement for travel throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays.
