About Us

Dreams Come True is a national charity with a big heart and a clear purpose. We exist to fulfil the dreams of children and young adults with serious and life-limiting conditions.

We are the only wish granting organisation that fulfils the dreams of children and young adults with such a wide range of backgrounds, medical conditions, locations and ages. We believe that because of this, we are answering an unmet need by allowing these two to 21-year-olds – who would usually otherwise be missed – a chance to have their dream transformed into a reality.

And that’s what makes us unique – we have a simple principle that we aim to help those that others can’t and in doing so, place our amazing Dreams Families at the heart of every decision, every action and at every opportunity. We are a charity that focuses on impact and making a positive difference to those we seek to help.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an interim Marketing Engagement Manager or suitably qualified marketing agency to join us on a contract (for up to six months) which has the potential to become a permanent position.

This is a key role within the charity, as it is the driving force behind increasing our awareness, supporter base, digital impact and donations.

As the Marketing Engagement Manager, you will work collegiately across all areas to ensure that the right message is delivered, to the right audience, at the right time.

You will lead the planning and delivery of all marketing activity that at its heart has clear and concise messaging, compelling dreams stories, calls to action and ultimately positions the charity as “one that can”.

This role is about building on good foundations with the primary focus being on taking ownership of the charity’s website and social media, campaign development and delivery and being responsible for all marketing engagement activities utilising all channels.

Key requirements include:

- Driving marketing communications activity through the supporter base and the wider like-minded supporter universe
- Developing and delivering campaigns that take account of the current pandemic and instil a desire to take part and donate
- Being responsible for all engagement activities including the production of website content, social media, public relations and email marketing

About You

To join us, you will need:

- Previous experience of charity marketing, including brand proposition, audience development and increasing awareness and associated return
- Experience of making a significant difference in marketing engagement, both on and offline
- A track record of updating databases and utilising CRM, website management and development and overseeing and developing marketing campaigns, both organic and paid, utilising all social media channels
- The ability to write and proofread creative copy

Other organisations may call this role Marketing Manager, Marketing Campaign Manager, Charity Marketing Manager, Engagement Manager, or Digital Marketing Manager.
