About the Role

The Role
Support the Regional Major Gifts Team in delivering the major donor elements of the fundraising strategy to secure c£400k per year.

Major Gifts Manager, International Fundraising
Position Objective:
To solicit major gifts (£5,000 and above) to support PETA’s international programmes and campaigns.
To build and advance relationships with PETA entities’ major donors and prospects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategy for international for major gifts fundraising

In this newly created role, the Senior Manager (Major Gifts) will provide strong stewardship of existing relationships of mid value and major donors, support and cultivate interest in Pact’s programmes and unrestricted giving and take responsibility for identifying and developing new major gifts from individuals and family trusts. This is a senior, strategic role within Pact and you will have
- A proven track record and specialism in either legacy or major donor giving, and the autonomy to raise funds from individuals, including HNWIs and to lead on this area within a charity.
- Experience of researching and cultivating individuals including HNWIs and family trusts to secure financial support.
- Strong interpersonal skills, talented at building relationships and trust, and able to inspire long term commitment.

The role: Fundraising Manager
We are seeking a Fundraising Manager with a passion for our mission, who will build positive relationships to secure significant income, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all.
This is a new role, leading our small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Bipolar UK are meeting this challenge through peer support, lobbying and research, improving on information, resources and tools to not only help anyone affected by the condition, but to live well and thrive.
Bipolar UK is a rapidly expanding charity with big plans to grow its income and impact over the next five years. We are looking for ambitious and talented individuals who will maximise the opportunity presented by the Bipolar Commission and key strategic relationships. We are looking to grow our network of in-person groups, maximise the impact of our expanding online resources and generate increased income and support from charitable trusts, key partnerships, commissioned income, individual givers and major donors.
Our Part-Time Fundraising Officer will support the organisation's fundraising joining a high performing team of fundraisers.
Job deliverables:
- Identify and maximise opportunities to raise unrestricted and restricted funds from small trusts and other funding bodies to ask for grants up to £10,000
- Plan, prepare and write compelling applications for funding
- Build relationships with trusts, foundations and other funding bodies that help Bipolar UK secure long-term funding and support
- Achieve income targets that support Bipolar UK’s strategic service delivery goals
- Keep accurate records on Salesforce CRM
- With the Trusts Manager, develop our ‘thank you’ processes and donor stewardship programmes
- Create reports and updates for donors that bring to life the impact of their support
- Meet regular deadlines and manage your own workload
- Develop excellent working relationships across Bipolar UK
- Develop and maintain your knowledge of the charity sector and fundraising environment, to keep up to date with changes
- Be administratively self-supporting
- Understand and empathise with the beneficiaries and portray them (and the work of Bipolar UK) with sensitivity and accuracy
- Undertake any other duties that are relevant to the job as requested by the Trusts Manager and the CEO
- Work closely with other members of the fundraising team including the Partnership Development Manager and Strategic Partnership Manager, and collaborate on tasks and projects where applicable

The role

The scope of activity of the Foundation is the support of restoration and development projects in the fields of medicine and education. It also includes providing the population of Ukrainian territories with food, clothing, medicaments, medical equipment and other essentials during the active phase of the war.
As Fundraising and Development Manager, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing the fundraising strategies to support the Foundation’s priorities. Based within the Development Team you will look to identify funding opportunities to secure funds to ensure the Hospice successfully achieves its objectives and development plan. With experience of writing bid writing, trust applications and reporting you will have excellent attention to detail and effectively manage deadlines. We are looking for an excellent team player and communicator who is ambitious and solution focussed and has the energy and passion to drive forward our aspirations and operational goals.
