The East European Resource Centre (EERC) provides advice, independent advocacy, and support to Eastern European nationals in London. Our advice covers immigration, benefits, and housing matters. Our Independent Advocacy supports survivors of domestic abuse and labour exploitation.
EERC is seeking a full time Polish or Romanian speaking Independent Modern Slavery Advocate to join our team. This role will provide crucial support to our clients. The main duties will be:
- To develop and provide outreach to Eastern Europeans;
- To provide high quality independent advocacy and advice to victims of exploitation in the UK;
- And to develop networks and working relationships to facilitate outreach, referral, and advocacy.
The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting vulnerable users – as an advocate or advisor. Though not essential, experience with survivors of exploitation, trafficking, or modern slavery is desirable. Particular advice expertise – around welfare benefits, immigration, employment or other areas – is welcome.
At EERC we are proud of our strong, supportive teams. We also provide all Independent Advocates with clinical supervision and access to counselling.
Given the current situation - this job will likely be done from home at first. EERC is well set up to facilitate this and is prepared for the safe return to the office and seeing clients when possible.
How to apply: Please send a completed application form by deadline.
Deadline: 10am on Monday 26 April 2021.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
