Hammersmith, Greater London
£28,785 - £31,371 per year, pro rata
Contract, 2 years, Part-time
Job description

The East European Resource Centre (EERC) provides advice, independent advocacy, and support to Eastern European nationals in London. Our advice covers immigration, benefits, and housing matters. Our independent advocacy supports survivors of hate crime, domestic abuse, and labour exploitation.

EERC is seeking a Solicitor or Senior Independent Hate Crime Advocate to join our fantastic team. This role will provide crucial support to our clients. The main duties will be:

  • To provide direct advice and casework to clients
  • To be the primary liaison with the funder and CATCH consortium

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable or marginalised people. Experience in supporting victims of crime or working in discrimination, employment, public or human rights law would be valuable.

EERC currently employs two other practising solicitors and three independent advocates. We maintain strong quality and casework management systems to enable all our client-facing staff to work effectively and in compliance with regulations.

At EERC we are proud of our strong, supportive teams. We also provide all staff with access to an employee assistance programme and counselling.

Given the current situation - this job will likely be done through a mix of home working and seeing clients in the office. EERC is well set up to facilitate work from home as well as to safely see clients in person.

How to apply: Please send a completed application form by deadline.

Deadline: 10am on Monday 11 October 2021.
