Community Heritage Trainee
Eastside Community Heritage is seeking to recruit two enthusiastic trainees with an interest in community heritage and delivering workshop/intergenerational participatory and educational programmes/activities for a wide range of audiences. This will include family learning, schools, and community groups to enable access to a digital archive collection. This will be workplace learning and training and will provide an RQF qualification in cultural heritage level 3.
The purpose of the traineeship is to train suitable candidates in a broad range of digital heritage skills, in order to be able to progress into roles within community organisations undertaking heritage projects.
Context of the Post
The traineeship will be hands on training, work experience and project development and delivery. It will be supported by hands on training, assessments, and support. It will involve working to a work plan, with communities, individuals, and with archive and community organisations. The trainees will be working alongside a project coordinator and a digital archivist to co-create and co-design community programmes to engage the public with ECH digital Archive.
Training
Trainees will complete the accredited Level 3 Diploma in Cultural Heritage.
This is a 10-month contract funded by the National Heritage Lottery Fund. This will be workplace learning and training and will provide an RQF qualification in cultural heritage level 3.
