Case Studies Officer

In this exciting new role, the Kidney Stories Officer will shine a spotlight on the experiences of people affected by kidney disease, increasing awareness of the urgency and impact of our client's work.

Kidney Stories Officer Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will work closely with colleagues to reach out to people with interesting experiences. You will ensure our client's story-sharing supporters have an excellent experience and feel valued.

You will identify, cultivate and develop stories which will engage, excite and inspire people to raise awareness and funds for the organisation, supplying teams with the stories they need for their activities in written form and through other media.

Kidney Stories Officer Requirements:

The ideal candidate will combine sensitivity, a good eye for a story, and be very organised, with an excellent aptitude for accurate record keeping. You will be a skilled writer, interviewer, communicator and team player, with a logical approach and good time management skills. You will have experience of talking to a variety of people about often difficult issues. Your interpersonal and networking skills will inspire confidence in the patients and families you speak with.

Whilst the position will be primarily office-based, some flexible working arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

About Our Client:

Our client is striving to cure kidney disease. A silent killer, it blights the lives of more than two million patients, with a further million undiagnosed. They are the largest charitable funder supporting kidney research in the UK today. For decades the research the charity enables has been saving lives, but there is so much more to do.

Our client has been shaping and facilitating advances in kidney disease research since 1961, collaborating with other charities and funders to deliver life-changing care to all those affected by kidney disease.

With the incidences of obesity, heart disease and high blood pressure (all triggers for kidney disease) on the increase due to changing lifestyles, their work is more essential than ever, and they need talented, passionate and caring people to help get to a cure – faster.
