Groupwork Manager

Our client is a highly respected independent charity, which together with its subsidiary, works across England and Wales to develop and deliver a range of innovative services, providing practical and emotional support to prisoners’ children and families, to prisoners, and to ex-offenders.

Position: Groupwork Manager
Location: Across multiple London Prisons
Job type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract (28-02-2021)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 per annum

About the role:

As a Groupwork Manager you will lead a team of tutors, whilst also delivering courses yourself. You will have a key role in the delivery of interventions in London prisons and in ensuring that delivery is excellent across all sites.

About you:

You will have experience of delivering training or groupwork interventions to young people and adults, hold a relevant training qualification and ideally have experience of working in prison. In return you will receive a full induction programme including train the trainer for the various groupwork courses you will be delivering.

You will also update and centrally locate material and information about our client, including reviewing course manuals, promotional literature and ensuring everything is shared appropriately via the shared drives, intranet and website.

Furthermore, you will develop and maintain good, pro-active working relationships with agencies both in the prison and in the community, including promotion of our client and development of referral procedures.
