Rent Account Officer

Our aim is to support people in achieving their full potential. We are currently going through a large period of growth and have a vacancy for a Rent Account Officer. 

Position: Rent Account Officer 
Location: Bolton Regional Office 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent (Flexible working considered) 
Hours: 35 hours per week 
Salary: £19,975 to £23,500 per annum

About the role: 

To maximise recovery of resident debt owed to the Association, providing advice and assistance to residents to realise any income they may be entitled to. 

To proactively monitor residents accounts taking preventative action to minimise debt as far as possible. 

To maximise recovery of any other current and former resident sundry debts, recharges, and court costs owed to the Association. 

About you: 

- Experience of providing welfare benefit advice. 
- A basic understanding of housing law, housing benefit, Universal Credit and rent enforcement. 
- Experience of working in a credit control / debt recovery environment. 

A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for these roles.
