About the role:
Do you love the challenge of finding a good story? Would you thrive on the chance to support children and their families for ourclient to tell their story? Do you enjoy working with a range of people in a fast paced, communications environment?
For their Stories and Case Studies Manager role, they are looking for a passionate storyteller who has excellent, sensitive interviewing skills. You would be responsible for building and maintaining strong working relationships with patients and their families across the country, as well as busy staff in the hospital. You will be coordinating activity across media, corporate and events and playing a central role in helping the charity to tell the stories of children and their families for our client. You would also be responsible for ensuring their case studies systems are up to date and work closely with their design team to ensure the organisation’s image library operates to the highest standards possible.

About the team:
our client Communications team is a high achieving, fast-paced team. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this role is part of a team of eight, comprising of a four-strong press office function, Internal Comms Manager, a Sparks Celebrity & Case Study Liaison Manager, and a Communications Assistant.
Specifically you will have:
- Demonstrable ability to effectively build relationships and use influencing skills in difficult, challenging and sensitive situations.
- A proven track record of working in a hospital and / or fundraising organisation.
- Exceptional communication skills: excellent written skills, ability to listen and clarify, to be tactful, diplomatic and persuasive when providing advice.
- Experience of effectively communicating with and influencing all levels of an organisation.
- An understanding of, as well as the ability to maintain (for self and others), the confidentiality of personal data, including knowledge of relevant compliance and governance obligations.
