An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client, an established housing provider for a Care and Support Team Leader on a initial two to three month contract with the view to an extension.
This is a full time, shift based role managing a team of between Seven to Ten staff overseeing a Domiciliary retirement village.
The pay rate for this role is £13.32 PAYE or £17.00 Umbrella / Limited.
Shifts are 06:30 AM to 14:00 PM And 13:30 PM to 22:00 PM. However the client is flexible with finish times if the suitable candidate is travelling from further out into work.
The role is location based so access to a vehicle is not essential.
Enhanced DBS will be required for this role.
The case load will be up to 30 client.
Essential: Good Knowledge of Care Quality Commission requirements and regulations is needed as well as having or be willing to work towards a Level 3 in care.
Due to the nature of the service there may be some personal care work involved as part of covering staff if someone is off sick, but this isn't on a regular basis. On Call work will also be required.
To professionally lead the care and support team during any span of duty, ensuring the provision of a safe, effective and efficient care and support service to older people and people with learning difficulties / disabilities is maintained, which respects their rights and choices and meets their individual needs, in line with CQC Regulations and organisational policies and procedures.
As a Care and Support Team Leader, you will need to provide effective leadership and support for the care and support staff team.
You will be required to supervise care and support staff on a day to day basis and through formal supervision processes.
You will need to liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that the people we support receive the medical and clinical support they require.
Part of your role will be to demand high quality care delivery focused on the people we support's individually assessed needs, priorities and choices.
You will be tasked with actively promote the professional image of the services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour and professional appearance at all times.
You will need to support new care and support staff in the completion of induction programs, training and competency assessments.
Furthermore, you will need to coach and develop the team to maximise their performance and potential to deliver the best outcomes.
