We are delighted to be working in partnership with Day One Trauma Support to recruit them a new Director of Service Development. Day One Trauma Support are a truly incredible national Charity based in Leeds, providing practical and emotional support to patients and family members in the immediate aftermath of a major trauma and throughout the recovery journey. They work alongside the NHS with patients and families and are able to provide support and advice alongside the medical treatment that a patient receives. This could be emotional, financial, legal and other practical concerns.
The Director of Service Development is a brand-new role within the Charity and it is certainly a very exciting time to join as Day One have ambitious growth plans moving forwards. The Director of Service Development will work closely with the CEO and the board to develop the growth strategy both regionally and nationally.
As the Director of Service Development, you will lead on the delivery, planning and implementation of service developments, including new contracts within Major Trauma Centres and community outreach projects. You will be instrumental in project managing the roll out to new trauma centres. As a member of the senior management team you will be directly responsible for the volunteer Manager and work closely with the Income and Communications Manager on bids for funding to support service delivery.
To apply for this role you must have had business or service development experience, preferably in a Charity or healthcare setting, as well as project management experience. Success in tender bidding management is also desirable. You will have had service planning and operational management experience and it is desirable that you have had some experience in working with or within NHS Trusts. You will also be a creative, strategic thinker with a practical operational approach.
Day One Trauma Support are a flexible employer and this role can be home based preferably with access to the head office in Leeds.
