Job description

Eden Brown is working exclusively with the University of Surrey on an exciting newly created position of Trusts & Foundations Officer.

The Trusts and Foundations Officer will take trusts fundraising to the next level at the University. You will raise funds from Trusts and Foundations (T&F) for a range of projects and initiatives across the University, with priority areas including: widening access to university improving the student experience research on healthy ageing, environment and sustainability.

You will draw on specialist expertise and skills to develop fundraising from mid-level trusts and foundations. Your role will include prospect research, developing cases for support for identified projects, matching them with relevant trust prospects, building and maintaining strong relationships with trusts, developing tailored proposals and ultimately managing grants. You will also establish, build and maintain strong working relationships with the Faculty academics and wider major gifts team to ensure fundraising success.

We are looking for someone with Trust fundraising experience, including proven success in personally securing five figure gifts in the UK and/or internationally, excellent oral and written communication skills as well as proven project and proposal development skills.
