Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Volunteer Co-ordinator to join a multiple award-winning health charity in North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be joining the team during an exciting period of development and contribute towards the charity's vision. This charity is looking to increase global awareness, save more lives and build better futures for individuals and families affected by this health crisis. Their mission is to deliver wider expert support services as well as participate in medical research. In order to facilitate this, they have ambitious plans to grow their services and their volunteer base so that they can help reach more people… and you can be a part of this exciting journey!

In the role of Volunteer Co-ordinator you will be an enthusiastic and proactive individual, working within a small award-winning team to provide crucial support to this fantastic charity's volunteers. Your responsibilities will include recruiting, training and managing volunteers, ensuring that all volunteers receive the right level of support. You will also be working with multiple organisations/agencies across different sectors in order to enable the growth of volunteering. You will be required to ensure all policies and procedures are up-to-date.

In order to apply you must have excellent organisational and administrative skills and possess high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. You must hold at least 2 years experience, preferably in a data driven, customer facing environment. A high degree of IT literacy including experience of CRM databases (preferably eTapestry) and ability to use Outlook, Word and Excel to an intermediate level is also essential.

If you have excellent communication skills, the ability to engage with various audiences, the capacity to inspire and motivate others and want to make a difference to people affected then we would love to hear from you. The organisaiton is able to offer this role at anything from 22.5 - 30h a week and will look at flexible working with the additional potential for some home working as required.
