Job Description

The purpose of this role is to deliver interactive STE(A)M programmes for Key Stage 2-4 ensuring that activities are innovative, reflect the national curriculum and therefore meet the teachers and pupils needs. The role is a mix of delivery in schools 80% of the time, and 20% administration.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

  • Deliver interactive STE(A)M programmes for Key Stage 2-4 with up to 120 young people per session across the North West and North East
  • Organising student events at various locations including schools, universities, employer premises and other appropriate venues
  • Adapting programmes to meet specific school requirements
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with key schools and colleges, building and sustaining excellent working relationships with designated lead contacts where pupil/student outreach and intervention is delivered
  • Maintain relationships with host contacts
  • Contribute to the development of an inspirational STE(A)M programme of hands on experiments and activities for young people
  • Positively promote and engage the interest of teachers, parents, students and university staff
  • Provide a support event delivery role to events delivered through our School Projects team
  • Adopt a flexible approach to working with the rest of the EDT team including being prepared to carry out activities on behalf of other members of the team.

Please note: The successful candidate will be required to fulfil an enhanced PVG/DBS check and should hold a clean driving licence. Due to working with schools, flexible hours will be required, including early starts, overnight stays and evening work. The post will be delivering across the North West and North East.
