Hackney CVS is looking for a Development Manager to lead our Organisational Development work and strengthen support for the voluntary and community sector (VCS) across Hackney and the City of London.

This is a key role, overseeing a small team and shaping a high-quality, responsive offer of training, advice and capacity building for local organisations. You will work closely with VCS groups of all sizes, building trusted relationships and ensuring our support reflects the realities they face.

You will also connect insight from the sector with funders, partners and stakeholders, helping to improve access to resources and opportunities. Working across Hackney CVS, you will collaborate with colleagues to ensure our work is joined up, impactful and aligned with organisational priorities.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in organisational development within the VCS, with the ability to lead, build relationships and think strategically.  To produce reports and presentations on adoption practice across the region.

 Support the manager with projects on occasion.

We’re looking for an Advice & Wellbeing Specialist to provide high-quality, holistic support to residents, helping them sustain tenancies and improve their wellbeing.  You will need to feel confident and comfortable visiting residents in their homes, with one day per week based in an office.

Your typical day could start by working with residents in their homes and neighbourhoods to understand their immediate needs. Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

As our Events Manager, you will:

• Plan, organisation and on-site delivery of regional and national events, including residential and single-day conferences, networking events and a House of Commons sitting.
• Project management of all event elements including budgets, logistics, health and safety, safeguarding, attendees, AV and delegate communications.
• Be responsible for selection and management of all event suppliers including accommodation, equipment, AV and logistics.
• Oversee venue and supplier management
• Act as first point of contact for all delegates where appropriate to the event
• First point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
• Work with our finance team to ensure event budgets are managed closely and events are delivered in budget

About the Service

St Albans & District Foodbank is an independent charity within the Trussell network, operating nine foodbank centres across the district alongside a central warehouse and home delivery service. Over recent years, the Foodbank has developed a “More Than a Foodbank” model, recognising that food insecurity rarely exists in isolation and that many people accessing support are also experiencing poor mental health, debt, housing insecurity, social isolation and wider practical challenges.

Alongside emergency food provision, the Foodbank has developed strong partnership working with Citizens Advice St Albans District, local mental health organisations, statutory services and community groups to create a more joined-up and person-centred support model.

The Reaching Communities partnership between St Albans & District Foodbank, Citizens Advice and Hertfordshire Mind Network aims to provide integrated practical, emotional and wellbeing support within trusted community settings. About the Role

The Outreach Worker role is intended to feel fully embedded within the Foodbank environment and wider Foodbank Plus model, working relationally and practically alongside the Wellbeing Team, volunteers and partner organisations to support people experiencing hardship and complex life circumstances.

The purpose of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Community Outreach Worker role is to:

• Expand employment, health and wellbeing, and community engagement

We are looking for a Community Support Worker to join our team. The Primary Care Network Service works in partnership with GP surgeries in Hertfordshire to provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to individuals who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. Supporting people in the community in their own homes and our wellbeing centres.

Community Support (PCN) Service Objectives

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To ensure correct access via Primary Care into the HMN service therefore reducing the pressure on GP services
• To contribute to an improvement in the proportion of people with mental ill health who are accessing specialist support via their GP surgery
• To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients that may have complex or multiple needs.

The Successful Candidate will

• Provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing.

About the role:

At Camden Young Person’s High Support Accommodation Service, nights matter. They can be the point where worry, distress, conflict or risk comes to the surface - and where calm, skilled leadership can make all the difference. As Night Manager, you will lead the overnight service, making sure young people experience safety, consistency and support when they need it most.

You will be the senior operational decision-maker overnight, leading the night team to respond confidently to incidents, safeguarding concerns, missing young people procedures, building safety, visitor access and any actions handed over from the day team. You’ll work with a high level of independence, while knowing when to liaise with the on-call manager, emergency services or wider management team to keep young people, staff and the building safe.

This is also a role about connection. You’ll line manage, support and guide Night Workers, oversee locum or agency staff where needed, and make sure overnight learning, handovers and emerging themes are shared clearly with the Service Manager and wider team. Through trauma informed, strengths-based and psychologically informed practice, you’ll help build a service where night and day support feels joined up, purposeful and ambitious for young people’s futures.

• You are calm, confident and steady under pressure, with the judgement to manage risk overnight and know when to escalate.
• You have experience supporting, supervising or leading staff in supported accommodation, youth work, social care, housing or a similar setting.
• You understand the needs, strengths and risks of young people in high support accommodation, including safeguarding, trauma, distress and non-engagement.

Our Helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through our grants programme, we support hundreds of local organisations working with older people across the UK.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

This new role is an integral part of the day-to-day delivery of our Advice and Support Service. The service is targeted at older people in or facing financial hardship, and provides information, advice and follow up support relating to a range of issues, including Welfare Benefits, Social Care and Housing. 

As an Adviser (Scottish Housing, Social Care and Welfare Benefits) you will be responsible for providing specialist support to older people, their families and carers through our advice service with their enquiries relating to housing and welfare benefits in Scotland as well as providing generalist level support on a range of issues through our duty service.

You should have in depth, specialist level knowledge of Housing or Welfare Benefits in Scotland (ideally both) as they relate to older people, and experience working within a high-volume advice setting and advice supervision framework. We plan to expand our advice offer in Scotland to cover Social Care, so knowledge in this area would also be beneficial. You should be able to travel within Scotland, including to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

About the role:

For someone trying to move forward after contact with the criminal justice system, safe housing can be the turning point that changes everything. As a Housing Advice Worker, you’ll be part of Single Homeless Project (SHP’s) Pan London Housing Advice and Interventions Service, delivered in partnership with St Mungo’s and the Ministry of Justice, helping people on probation find clearer, safer routes away from homelessness and housing crisis.

Based in Brent, with work connecting into designated London boroughs, you’ll work closely with Probation Services to support clients to sustain their current accommodation or secure new housing where needed. Day to day, you’ll hold a caseload, complete strengths-based assessments, explore housing, financial, employment and wider support needs, and build practical plans that turn pressure and uncertainty into clear next steps. You’ll also identify risks and safeguarding concerns, keep accurate case records, liaise with housing providers and specialist agencies, and work alongside partners such as probation and police to help people access accommodation and opportunities that are safe, realistic and sustainable.

This is a Monday to Friday role in a friendly, supportive and high-performing team that is serious about the difference good housing advice can make. About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a Communications Lead to join Working Well Trust. This is a 35-hour per week role, Monday to Friday, based at our Bethnal Green office with travel to other offices and boroughs when required.
