We are looking for a Marketing Executive who can create engaging content, spot a good story a mile off, build communities, grow awareness, and help us reach more people who need us. 

You’ll be creating social posts, campaigns, newsletters, website content, awareness activity, fundraising communications, and probably the occasional “can you quickly make this look nice?” job too. Because that’s charity life. 

This is not a role where you disappear into layers of management and endless sign-off processes. You’ll have space to bring ideas to life, to try new things, to be creative, and to actually see the impact of your work, every day. 

This role would suit someone with some marketing or communications experience who wants to keep learning, build confidence, and grow in a bold, developing, supportive, and purpose-driven organisation.

About the Role

Off The Fence is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven fundraiser to drive income growth across the most sustainable revenue streams in the UK charity sector. We are a specialist Further Education college, where every 16-19 student takes Computer Science and all of our diverse Higher Level and Degree Apprentices work in skills shortage disciplines in innovative, blue-chip companies.

The digital skills gap is costing the UK economy an estimated £63 billion a year in lost GDP. Ada seeks to fill this skills gap by equipping young with the skills industry actually needs.

Ada was announced by the Prime Minister in December 2014; England’s first new FE College since 1993 and since then we’ve gone from strength to strength including a Good with Outstanding features in our first Ofsted Inspection.

16-19 Provision:

As of 2024, we have 187 16-19 students enrolled. Our most recent results are outstanding; 39% of A level results at A*- B and 74% achieving at least one Distinction or better in their externally assessed Computing BTEC. This makes us the best education institution in the country for this BTEC.

Degree Apprenticeships:

Across our London Victoria and Manchester Ancoats campus, we have 363 apprentices currently enrolled on our Higher and Degree Level Apprenticeships. We specialise in five disciplines at present: software development, data analytics, tech consultancy, cyber security and business analysis, working with a wide range of SMEs and corporate organisations such as PwC, Bank of America, Deloitte, Clearscore, Just Eat, Capita, MHRA, Booking,com and Salesforce.

At present 38% of our learners are female, 51% are from ethnic minority backgrounds and 50% come from low-income households compared to national averages of c. 20%.

I. Learner Experience and Inclusion

●Lead student voice and engagement initiatives, delivering a dynamic programme of assemblies, enrichment activities and student-led opportunities.

●Coordinate weekly enrichment clubs and lunchtime activities to enhance student participation and wellbeing.

Education/Qualifications

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our research grant programmes across the entire funding cycle, from application and peer review through to award management and post-award administration. You’ll work closely with the Head of Research, internal teams, external experts, and funded researchers to maintain high standards of governance, transparency, and impact across all our research funding activities.  

We’re looking for a confident communicator, with strong organisational skills, who’ll use their own initiative and ability to manage a varied workload. You’ll be motivated by ensuring our robust processes are followed to provide the best possible experience for CCLG-supported researchers, and ultimately that the highest quality research that will make an impact for children and young people with cancer is funded. You’ll be able to contribute to the continual development of our research programme to drive improvements. You’ll have a good understanding of research grants and funding processes, as well as an understanding of academic research environments in the UK, paired with a good understanding of a relevant biomedical science discipline through a degree or experience.

This role is offered on either a remote working basis, with occasional travel to our Leicester office, or on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of two days per week in the Leicester office.
Hours for this role can be flexible - while advertised as full time, we would be willing to explore part-time employment (minimum 0.6FTE).

What you'll do:
- If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer. This includes delivering personal and physical care as appropriate;
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation;
- Participate in support planning and risk management, of named customers, as directed by the service management;
- Ensure the safety and security of the customers and the premises whilst on shift;
- Enable customers to make full use of community facilities by providing support that enables maximum external engagement;
- Report any observations relating to customers welfare

Job Description

Beacon Victim Care provides tailored support to help victims of crime cope, recover, and move forward. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Specialist Children and Young People Caseworker to deliver enhanced support to young victims of crime across the service.

In this rewarding role, you will build trusted relationships with children and young people, providing practical and emotional support through a trauma-informed and person-centred approach. You will manage a caseload of medium and high-risk cases, complete assessments and support plans, and help young people understand their rights and the criminal justice process.

You will also deliver awareness sessions, preventative interventions, and engaging activities within schools, youth settings, and community venues. Working collaboratively with partner agencies, you will help develop strong referral pathways and ensure safeguarding remains central to all practice.

As a specialist practitioner, you will support colleagues through coaching, sharing best practice, and helping to develop creative approaches that improve outcomes for children and young people affected by crime.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (minimum)
• Experience working with vulnerable children and young people
• Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management relating to CYP
• Experience delivering projects, interventions, or engagement activities for young people
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage a caseload and maintain accurate records
• Strong partnership-working and organisational skills

We are looking for new team members to join our service supporting Carers across Havering to improve their health and wellbeing, and access wider support that meets their needs.

This is a great opportunity to support local communities, working with Adult Carers and Young Adult Carers and helping them to make informed choices, build confidence, sustain their independence, and access support that meets their individual needs. You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

We have a part-time roles available (22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services.
