The roles will report into the Marketing Manager and will be responsible for develop and deliver results-led marketing strategy for the T Level Professional Development (TLPD) contract, designed to meet KPIs, identify and engage audiences, and raise awareness of the offer within the sector, and creating, managing, and implementing marketing plans which meet specific TLPD objectives, including acting as a named marcomms lead for specific KPIs, setting objectives, monitoring performance, and adapting plans as needed.

Particular to the Marketing and Recruitment Officer, guided by  by the School Engagement Manager:

• To contribute to the creation of strategic marketing plans to promote Teacher Development Trust's services.  Helping to shape activity to provide a better understanding of the efficacy and reach of our products and services and ensuring that information and data are shared effectively across the organisation.

• To utilise various marketing channels including digital platforms, social media, website and traditional marketing methods including email and newsletters, to reach target audiences.  You will collaborate with the team to create and distribute compelling content, promotional materials and campaigns.

• To stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and emerging opportunities and share this information as appropriate across the organisation to put TDT in the best position to respond in the advancement of our charitable aims and objectives.

• To support the planning and organisation of events such as workshops, webinars and conferences to showcase Teacher Development Trust's offerings and coordinate TDT presence at external events.  This will include representing the organisation at events to network and promote our services.

• To work closely with the internal teams, including the content development and participant experience teams, to ensure seamless service delivery, satisfaction, retention and brand loyalty.  You will also collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to explore potential synergies and business opportunities.

• To support the wider interaction between the organisation and the sector, in particular supporting carefully planned and considered marketing and communications activity as well as responding to emerging news stories and other agendas.  Where appropriate this may include working with journalists and other key sector influencers.

Experience, qualities and skills:

• Proven experience in marketing roles either within the education sector or elsewhere.

• Knowledge of the current educational landscape, including an understanding of professional development or a genuine interest in developing that knowledge.

• An active interest in continuously developing both generalist and technical marketing expertise.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present information clearly, striking the correct tone with a range of internal and external audiences.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Excellent problem solving skills and the initiative to continuously improve.

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

• Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (Salesforce, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Asana, Divi, Wordpress)  would be an advantage but not essential - the appetite to learn is essential.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• A strong commitment to education, the non-profit sector and improving educational outcomes for children and young people.

The NI is looking for its next Events Officer to oversee the setting up and online booking of a range of events – mainly conferences and dinners – as well as overseeing the subscriptions to its Journal. The role is a busy one and the person recruited with require good experience with events booking CRMs as well as working with volunteers and other team members in a small team.

Responsibilities

Main duties include:

Manage all event bookings administration, including:

o Set up of online booking for events through CRM

o Set up and maintain webpages for each event through CMS adding sponsor logos and additional information as required.

o Ensuring invoices for events are issued and paid, updating any on CRM that were issued manually including sponsorship events

o Ensuring relevant communications such as joining instructions are circulated to attendees

o Issue sponsorship contracts, invoices and monitor payments of same

o Providing support for delivery of events including producing delegate lists, dietary requirements etc

o Liaising with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure all events run smoothly.

Manage the admin and event email inboxes, answering all queries in a timely and professional fashion; forwarding queries to colleagues as appropriate where outside your area of expertise.

Assist in maintaining the CRM to ensure data quality eg by removing duplicates, amending incorrect details, updating information and resolving login issues.

Work closely with the Branch Representatives and the Marketing and Communications Manager to set up all events including paid-for and free-to-attend, plus any external suppliers where necessary.

Manage all journal subscriptions including renewals and responding to subscription enquiries.

Actively recruit new subscribers for Nuclear Future.

Manage credit control for events and journal subscriptions and actively work to manage debtors ensuring all invoices are paid.

Undertake any ad-hoc tasks as directed by the CEO to ensure a smooth-running organisation.

We’re looking for a creative and confident Content & Communications Coordinator to join our busy Marketing & Communications Team at Imperial College Union. Duties and responsibilities

Content Planning

• To assist in the creation of communications and content plans to support the Marketing & Engagement Manager in the delivery of key Union marketing activity, such as Welcome Week and election.

Requirements

We are looking to recruit a Head of Member Acquisition and Engagement on a part-time contract. This is an exciting new role that will play a key part in our continued growth and will make a real impact on the teaching profession; we are looking for someone who believes in our mission and the work we do.

Working closely with the Deputy Chief Executive, Associate Director: Partnerships and the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Head of Member Acquisition and Engagement will take a lead on activity related to attracting and retaining our individual teacher members, including developing, rolling out and evaluating recruitment and retention programmes, initiatives and campaigns for current and prospective members. The successful candidate will be confident using data to inform decision-making and monitor progress towards membership growth targets and have the ability to work well independently and within a team.

• Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager, planning recruitment campaigns and strategising content and resources for membership initiatives
• With the Associate Director: Partnerships, ensuring join-up between group membership sales and individual member sales
• Promoting and representing the Chartered College to potential members at events
• Working with the Membership Manager to ensure a seamless experience for members from their first interaction with us
• Recording, presenting, formatting and analysing data in a variety of ways to report to colleagues and stakeholders, including against KPIs.
• Performing other activities as and when required to support the wider team to achieve the charity’s goals.

Alongside your main areas of work, you will also participate in meetings and be encouraged to participate in CPD learning activities and training to maintain and develop your knowledge and skills.

You don’t need to have expertise in absolutely all areas, but we’re looking for someone who is motivated by our vision and truly passionate about membership growth and supporting teachers. Systems you would be using include Salesforce, DotDigital, Google Workspace, Zoom, Submittable and Slack.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a School Partnership Officer to help us grow and extend the reach of our Learning with Parents programme. 

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience across project management at a fast-paced education-tech charity. We are a small team, and the School Partnership Coordinator will play a key role in enabling us to deliver our programme strategy.

Core areas of responsibility

Programme support

• Assist the School Partnership Managers with support for the schools using our Reading Log, including having calls with those schools
• Collaborate with the Schools Team to help schools get started on the programme 
• Send reminders to schools on their next actions
• Update the schools database and organisations database with the relevant programme information
• Support the Schools Team to deliver timely tech support for both schools and parents using our programmes
• Support with pulling together school impact summaries
• Support with the invoicing and contracts for school partners, including supporting the Schools Team with ensuring school invoices are paid
• Support with any programme admin as directed by the school team. 

External communications

• Manage the general inbox for the charity
• Sort parent feedback comments and photos for marketing materials and impact summaries 
• Support with creating marketing materials such as emails and and flyers
• Update the charity social media accounts including our X, LinkedIn and Facebook pages.

General administrative support

• Other administrative support as required by the wider organisation, such as office procurement, general research, organising events and booking travel.

About You

A successful School Partnership Officer will be eager to work in a small team, have a can-do attitude, and be keen to get stuck in to support the charity’s growth and impact.

Education should be the means to break the link between demographics and destiny. Yet every week 109 children in England – equivalent to three full classrooms – are asked to leave their schools and never come back, with disastrous personal and societal consequences. The Difference, a young education charity, was founded to change the story on this lost learning. It exists to build the status and expertise of teachers working with vulnerable children, particularly those who are excluded from mainstream schools.

By 2030, The Difference want rates of exclusion and absence to be falling nationally and for schools to be better equipped to support all children, including those who may be vulnerable.

The organisation was born out of a year of research into school exclusions with think-tank IPPR. This research identified a lack of inclusion expertise in schools and proposed a new leadership development programme to fill this gap. In 2018, The Difference founder Kiran hired the team who took this idea from concept to reality, beginning work with our first schools.

The Difference is now a 22-strong team delivering multiple school leadership programmes, alongside a growing research and policy arm. The team is supported by our Youth Advisory Board, made up of young people who have experienced exclusion and who provide their expertise and insights on how school inclusion work should be done. This work is needed more than ever. Effects of COVID-19, coupled with the spiralling cost of living, have substantially increased levels of vulnerability. Schools serving excluded pupils face under-funding. The Difference has had excellent early impact but there is work ahead to capture this, share learning with schools and policy-makers, and grow our capacity to lower exclusions across England.

Our first permanent Head of Fundraising will drive the growth and sustainability of our fundraising function. Having proved the impact on exclusions via our programmes, you will help us generate the income to scale this success across the country. We need an expert fundraiser to support this journey. Key Responsibilities

• Drive the delivery of a new fundraising strategy for The Difference, motivating and involving key members of the team, particularly the Development and Impact Manager.
• Build and manage a dynamic portfolio of around 20-30 major individual prospects and donors with capacity to give £50k+, working with key stakeholders to solicit and close asks.
• Grow overall fundraised income from £1.25m to £1.9m annually in next 3 years.
• Write and submit funding proposals to major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate supporters.
• Support the creation of engaging content from our impact data and case studies, for The Difference’s website and social media that could lead to online fundraising, including feeding into writing press releases as required.
• Build relationships with major trusts/foundations, donors or companies to secure 5 and 6 figure income
• Plan and deliver fundraising outreach to build out our list of fundraising pipeline.

Training and Education Lead

Position: Training and Education Lead: Parental Cover (8 months)

About the role:

This role is for an events person who can support our training and development courses. These courses are delivered either face-to-face or hybrid and are often delivered by a team of the organisation’s members. We use tools such as WebEx, MS Teams and Slido to support the delivery. There is an agreed schedule for the rest of 2024 for our public (open) training plus some bespoke, in-house training to be agreed upon with clients. There will also be additional in-house training to be secured for the remainder of 2024 and the first part of 2025.

The role holder will work within our professional development team, headed up by the director of professional development. They will report directly to the director and work alongside other team members to deliver an effective apprenticeship programme.

Our working pattern is hybrid, with attendance in the office expected for three days per week, including every Wednesday. You may also be expected to attend events across the UK and overseas.

• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to meet the agreed requirements and budget, liaising with the DPD as required.
• Organise and attend volunteer Working Party meetings as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need experience managing events (face to face and hybrid) including liaising with speakers and managing the technology. You will be able to work with colleagues to identify and contact potential speakers. You will also be able to manage the budget for the course delivery.
