Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting the development and implementation of the trusts and grants team strategy.
• Generating funding toward the team income target of £4.2m with an approximate contribution of £200,000 annually through management of existing trust relationships and the trusts mailing.
• Managing your own portfolio of 20+ existing funders, providing them with excellent stewardship.
• Developing effective relationships with trusts via telephone, email, Zoom and face to face contact – at meetings and events.
• Maintaining relationships with new and existing funders and then submitting excellent quality funding reports/applications.
• Maximising on charitable trust relationships to secure the maximum amount of funding.
• Using your creativity and new ideas to lead on the growth of the income of the trusts mailing
• Demonstrating perseverance and determination in order to develop new funding relationships.
Skills
- Passion to support children and young people, preventing mental health issues from developing
- Ideally one year or more experience in Trusts fundraising, although this does not need to be exclusively working on Charitable Trusts’
- A positive ‘can-do’ approach and a flexible team player who will contribute to the overall success of the team
- A proactive self-starter who can manage their own workload in a self-directed environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to communicate and influence others verbally
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to produce work to a high professional standard
- Demonstrable experience of working to and achieving deadlines, effectively planning out your time
- Ideally experience in personally securing fundraising income
- The ability to produce project budgets and the attention to detail, checking budgets for accuracy
- Experience using Microsoft Office and database system

- Working with your line manager and where delegated, the Apprenticeship Outreach Programme Manager, to create bespoke events and short courses for potential apprentices.

About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work across two schools in Greenwich, London. Our schools are shown on a map The Access Project schools on our website.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
• Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
• Match students with volunteer tutors
• Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
• Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
• Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
• Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
• Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
• Manage tutor relationships and attendance to tutorials through weekly monitoring of systems, emailing and making phone calls.
• Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
• Chair and present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.
• University Access Officers support the volunteering team by helping to deliver tutor training sessions, and attending university site visits, which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

The role will involve:

- Creation and management of a deployment plan to achieve agreed targets for students and engagement of Barclays staff

The successful candidate will be:

Salary:
The salary band for this role reflects the flexibility we offer with the contractual location. Candidates will be based at home and have personal transport to travel to schools across Wales. - Ensure an efficient end to end Payables processes
- Ensuring that the creditors control accounts and purchase ledger are operated accurately, efficiently and to agreed timescales
- Ensure smooth operation of the payment process
- Managing relationships with suppliers
- Managing the cashflow
- Ensure all employee expense processing and auditing is completed on time
Experience and attributes:
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable leadership roles
- Knowledge of accounting and VAT principles is essential
- Experience of running and driving improvements within an Accounts Payable function

The responsibilities primarily revolve around activities across the university's London campus, encompassing weekly meetings, check-ins/checkouts. Core tasks include managing check-ins, room preparations, assisting students with roommate issues and room changes, addressing student complaints, updating access systems, managing room keys and guest passes, overseeing stock levels, and handling inquiries both in-person and via email.
To qualify for this role, candidates must possess exceptional organisational and administrative skills, along with a track record of delivering top-notch customer service. A comprehensive understanding of London, coupled with adept problem-solving abilities and experience in managing challenging customer conversations, is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate empathy towards the challenges faced by young adults in university settings, especially those from abroad, and exhibit a passion for providing accurate information and caring support during vulnerable moments. The Project Coordinator will work closely with our team of five Programme Managers to support with the day-to-day operations of the programme. You’ll enjoy supporting with a varied range of tasks and be able to quickly develop a rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
