We are looking for a creative individual to lead our campaigns and digital marketing activity.
Role purpose
The Campaigns and Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for attracting, converting and retaining supporters through our campaigns and digital marketing activity. The role will particularly suit a creative leader with a keen interest in supporter acquisition, data insights, analysis, testing and measurement.

Salary – £31,500 – £33,000. Resuscitation Council UK’s (RCUK) Communications and Engagement Department delivers creative communications and authentic engagement activities that support the organisation’s Vision to 2030, which is to ensure that everyone in the UK has the skills they need to save a life and receive appropriate resuscitation.
Main duties and responsibilities
Partnership Management
- Responsible for coordinating, managing and supporting RCUK’s collaborative activity with community and corporate partner organisations in the UK.
- Act as the central link between partner organisations, and our patient and public voice group.
- Manage relationships with both corporate and community partnerships developing strong new relationships and strengthening existing relationships, liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Take leadership for all operational aspects of our community and corporate partnerships, including the quality of partnership bid documents and correspondence received by the partner, and any day-to-day matters.
- Work closely with the Media and Campaigns and Policy and Public Affairs departments on campaigns and parliamentary engagement opportunities. Jointly working with the Media and Campaigns Manager to align the right partner/s with campaigning activities.
- Writing press releases to announce new partnership relationships and promote partnership events locally.
- Work closely with teams in RCUK to identify and develop growth opportunities for new and existing partnerships.
- Ensure RCUK discharges its responsibilities in relation to involvement/consultation with our patient and public voice group. Implementing and developing community and commercial strategic relationships with organisations, in accordance with Resuscitation Council UK’s overarching, objectives and goals.
Strategy and Planning
- Lead on the implementation of a new partnership strategy for RCUK working closely with the Director of Communications and Engagement and key internal stakeholders, ensuring it remains relevant and develops across the life of our partnership activity.
- Lead on developing bespoke individual plans for each partner relationship.
- Lead on proactively researching and developing a pipeline of new partners whose values and mission align with the RCUK vision, presenting progress in monthly stakeholder meetings.
- Develop compelling partnership propositions and presentations for corporate prospects, ensuring alignment with our values.
- Chair a monthly partnership forward planning meeting with internal stakeholders and key members of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Look for specific income-generating partnerships that will help fund our campaigning activity.
- Continually monitor and evaluate each partnership to ensure objectives are being met in line with both RCUK and the partners' expectations.
- Setting KPIs for each of our corporate and community partnerships.
- Effective corporate account management - managing multiple and high-value partners.

Job Purpose:
The Capital Fundraising Campaign Manager will use their existing experience, knowledge and contacts within the Midlands region to pave the way for Over The Wall’s successful capital campaign to open its first permanent site in Derby in 2026. Our new site will bring mischief and magic to seriously ill children and young people from across the UK, taking forward Paul Newman’s vision of a place where kids can forget hospital, ‘kick back and raise a little hell’.
During 2023 a significant body of work was undertaken to prepare for the commencement of the campaign in 2024, including soliciting a lead gift, preparing a strong case for support and preparing various projects for funding. Furthermore, we have begun cultivating relationships with prospective major donors; gaining the support of local politicians and businesses; paving the way for local community partnerships; etc, to facilitate the initial two phases of the campaign. The next steps are to set up a regional Development Board and begin to plan the approaches for major giving and alumni of the school site.
With support from the Capital Trusts Fundraising Manager (writing proposals for grant-based funding), and the Individual Giving & Philanthropy Manager, the Capital Fundraising Campaign Manager will bring together this project and manage its progress towards agreed goals and timescales. Working closely with the Director of Development, Chief Executive and Head of Marketing, the Capital Fundraising Campaign Manager will represent the project both internally and externally, taking on a truly 360-degree role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of Development, Chief Executive and Capital Trusts Fundraising Manager to implement a comprehensive funding strategy for the redevelopment of Ockbrook School as the new permanent site of Over The Wall.
- Prospect and develop relationships with a portfolio of HNWIs in the Midlands region, with an interest in human philanthropy/ youth/ health and bring them on this journey with OTW.
- Bring together and support a new Midlands-based Development Board who will help to steer the charity’s move to this area and gain financial and corporate support from the region, as well as awareness and visibility.
- Work with the Chief Executive/ DoD/ Capital Trusts Fundraising Manager to facilitate site visits for funders and show them OTW’s vision for the project.
- To explore community engagement with the project, working with organisations such as Nottingham YMCA (via our CEO), as well as recruiting local volunteers, to identify ways in which the project could further support the local area.
- Support the Marketing and Communications team with opportunities for local PR / media work.
- Plan and deliver a calendar of cultivation and awareness-raising events at the site, for funders and the community (including working with the Director of Business Development on community consultation).
- Ensure all communication with supporters and prospective donors is recorded and logged accurately.
- Contribute positively to the Development team, working collaboratively on the development of robust cases for support, sharing information and ensuring approaches are coordinated effectively.

- Fundraising or relevant project management qualification.

Overall purpose:
As Fundraising and Campaigns Marketing Manager in the Marketing & Communications team, you will drive Ben’s fundraising and commercial services with individuals and businesses within the automotive industry. You’ll work closely and collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the best possible results for communications delivered both digitally and physically (this can include content on our website, social channels, email and printed materials) to support the delivery of Ben’s overall strategy.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Managing the day-to-day marketing of fundraising/income campaigns using a test-and-learn approach across a range of new and existing channels and products
- Managing campaigns and projects from planning to delivery and evaluation, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget
- Assisting with the ongoing monitoring and optimisation of fundraising campaigns and products
- Researching competitor campaigns, market trends, new tools and platforms
Planning and organising
- Create and execute Fundraising and Marketing plans to promote Ben’s services, events and campaigns against budgets and with clear ROIs, in line with longer-term org strategy
- Work across the range of fundraising and commercial products and services, to ensure pricing, positioning and promotional activities are aligned for maximum impact
- Support to look after brand management of Ben’s fundraising and commercial brands (DoIt4Ben, ILC, Ben Ball, Ben Training etc.)
- Plan, create and develop high-quality content which is tailored to audience personas, which they will find engaging and meets strategic objectives
- Utilise various channels, including social media, website, email marketing and traditional media, to reach the target audience effectively
- Support to develop a programme of regular content. Maintaining and updating Ben wide calendars as appropriate
- Work with colleagues to develop new products and update existing products that are relevant for our audiences that are channel and brand appropriate
- Manage the design, production and distribution of marketing collateral (digital and print), making sure it is consistent with our messaging, tone of voice and is audience appropriate
- Manage end to end email process – from creating emails, automations, using correct data & segments to sending & then evaluating campaigns
- Support online advertising (social, retargeting and PPC)
- Use a test and learn approach in order to learn from user behaviour and to ensure Ben leverages digital communications channels to reach and engage target audiences
Experience required:

- Significant marketing and fundraising experience and responsibility within a non-profit environment (minimum 2 years) (E)

About the role

Job Purpose
The Campaigns Director will work to ensure that we meet our UK campaign goals for Marine Protected Areas, Sustainable Fisheries, and Offshore Oil and Gas. The position will be based in Oceana’s office in Paddington, London. Occasional travel will be required to meet team members and stakeholders in geographically diverse locations.
Reporting to the Executive Director, and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will inspire and help to equip your colleagues with the tools, knowledge, and approach to be effective changemakers. You will lead the Campaigns team (4 direct and 1 indirect reports working across campaigns, policy, research and public affairs) to ensure that we deliver and impactful political change campaigns.
Eligible candidates should be strategic and proactive, with experience of leading teams to deliver campaign goals. They should be confident to coordinate the annual strategic planning cycles, comfortable to oversee multiple projects, and enthusiastic in response to the changing demands of leading in a small team.
Role Overview
Ø Work as part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to decision making and overall progress towards organisational goals.
Ø Help to lead the London office providing direction and guidance and promoting a positive working culture with other members of the team.
Ø Manage and support the campaigns team of 5, helping to build, coach and lead a high-performing team.
Ø Oversee all projects across the campaigns team including (but not limited to) campaign actions, research, consultation responses, and potential legal challenges. Monitor progress against plans and ensure effective delivery of campaign objectives.
Ø Work closely with the Executive Director, Leadership Team and global team members on the strategic development and innovation of campaigns, reviewing and setting annual plans and longer term goals.
Ø Provide strategic insight on how to leverage opportunities for the greatest impact, particularly set against political and news cycles.
Ø Develop and communicate a compelling campaign vision and strategy to Oceana staff, supporters, donors, and allies.
Ø Ensure that Oceana staff at any level of the organization, have a clear understanding of our campaign strategy and the theory of change behind it.
Ø Oversee funder and supporter reporting goals in a timely and accurate way.
Ø Draft periodic reporting documents to update Oceana’s board about UK campaign goals and milestones.
Ø Regularly review the ocean conservation space, threats and opportunities coming from other NGOs, to ensure Oceana UK continually strengthens our sector position, media voice, and impact.
Ø Understand the latest digital campaigning tools and work closely with the communications director and team to drive supporter engagement and action.
Ø Grow a broad network of allies, experts, and high-level contacts.
Ø Represent the organization publicly, including through media interviews, speaking events, and writing.

Ø Work closely with communications team colleagues to ensure our campaigning priorities are effectively reflected as part of our wider offer to supporters.

This role will be based in our Paddington, London office three days per week (Tues-Thurs) with two days home working (Mon and Fri). It reports to the Executive Director.
Candidate Requirements
Education and work experience:
Ø At least 7 years of professional experience in campaigning, ideally in oceans or the environment.
Ø Experience operating as part of a Leadership Team in a similar organisation.
Ø Experience line managing multiple reports.
Ø Experience leading and developing campaign strategic plans and annual detailed plans and budgets.
Ø Experience working closely and collaboratively with policy and communications colleagues.
Ø Experience lobbying and negotiating with civil servants in government on policy matters.
Ø Experience commissioning, managing and analysing complex research projects and ensuring their application to policy work and/or campaign delivery.
Skills and knowledge:
Ø Familiarity with fisheries or marine and environmental regulations, legislation and policies in the UK, as well as with the key institutions and decision-making processes.
