Operations Manager (UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub)

Are you interested in joining an exciting new initiative, which will promote collaboration between the humanitarian sector and UK leaders in science, technology, and innovation?
We are looking to recruit an Operations Manager for the UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub, with a focus on managing finance, HR, work plans, grants and administration.
Launching in 2021, the Hub will bring together the Humanitarian sector and the UK’s expertise in technology, science and innovation to support people impacted by crises. The Operations Manager will play a central role, supporting the set-up and day to day running of the Hub.
You will have considerable experience in operational delivery roles, ideally from the humanitarian sector or membership organisations. You will have an excellent working knowledge of operational systems and be adept at building constructive working relationships. The UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub is a new initiative, so we are looking for someone who is experienced in start-ups and feels comfortable in an evolving environment, as the work of the Hub continues to grow and develop. We are also interested in hearing from candidates with a background in research and grants, as the Operations Manager will be involved in delivering a funding programme for humanitarian innovation work.
The Hub is hosted by Elrha and is funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

Please note: Due to COVID-19 we are all currently working remotely, so this role will initially be home-based. When deemed safe and appropriate to do so, the role will be based in our London office and there will be some UK travel involved in this role.
The role will be appointed at the start of the salary band advertised, unless there are exceptional circumstances. This allows for incremental progression within the role and movement up the scale.
