An exciting opportunity has arisen in the English Heritage Trust Finance department, to support our Stakeholders in the West Territory, for an enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated communicator to develop their financial skill set. Engaging with non-finance and finance staff alike within the Historic Properties and Finance departments, and in ensuring the financial integrity of the Charity.

This is your opportunity to be exposed to a challenging and developing, multiple property business environment within a new and rapidly growing charity; enhancing your skills in the use of financial processes, budgeting and variance analysis as well as further enhancing your communication and presentation skills.

You will work closely with the Finance Business Partner in monitoring and reporting the financial performance of the department, support finance colleagues in reporting the performance of the department and organisation as a whole, and support operational colleagues in decision making all with a view to helping the organisation achieve its Financial Sustainability objective.

You will have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and will be experienced in the use of financial systems. Report building, some dashboard construction, and frequent ad-hoc reporting will be a requirement.

Flexibility, excellent time management and communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must, and you will be confident in problem solving and comfortable presenting financial information to non-financial colleagues.

At present the majority of our teams are working remotely from home. There is the opportunity for this role to remain home-based once staff are able to return more fully to offices. You will meet up with colleagues on site or at one of our office locations as required.
