Job Description

Role description and job purpose: The Enterprise and Social Impact Assistant is a newly created role to support to help deliver our social purpose activities and monitor their effectiveness. The role involves working closes with the Enterprise and Training Manager to deliver training events to our tenants and local community and to administer the Bootstrap Fund, which helps the community access our physical assets (workspace, event space, meeting rooms) at discounted rates.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

ENTERPRISE SUPPORT AND SOCIAL IMPACT

  • Support the running and administration of enterprise programmes for young people from marketing and recruitment, production and facilitation through to final evaluation
  • To produce relevant tenant networking and training events
  • Help develop the Bootcamp Alumni community and support the development of a ‘post-Bootcamp’ offering
  • Host tours of Bootstrap for stakeholders, schools, partner organisations, and industry peers in conjunction with the Community Organiser  
  • Create and support ad hoc socially impactful events for Bootstrap

MONITORING AND FUNDRAISING

  • Administer the annual Bootstrap Fund from application to evaluation
  • Showcase the work of Bootstrap Fund recipients
  • Monitor and evaluate Bootstrap social impact activities
  • Manage the annual social impact survey and collate results
  • Support the Enterprise and Training Manager to identify potential fundraising opportunities for Bootstrap and develop relationships with stakeholders
  • Produce ad-hoc events for Bootstrap related to fundraising, promotion, and partner events

GENERAL

  • To assist with general administrative tasks, answering the telephone, being a point of contact for external enquiries and responding to email enquiries
  • Attend team meetings
  • To provide lunch cover for Reception
  • Any other duties as requested by your line manager

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience of running and administering training programmes
  • Experience of designing, developing and delivering training programmes
  • Skilled at collecting and analysing data
  • Technologically confident- ease and familiarity working with GSuite, Mac Based software including Word and Excel (experience of digital marketing, managing a website and using Salesforce a plus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills:
    • good at presenting data in clear, easy to understand ways
    • confident public speaker with an ability to facilitate tours, workshops and events
    • able to write clear and concise reports, adhering to Bootstrap brand guidelines and house style
  • Some experience of raising income, especially through bid writing or events, would be a bonus
  • Able to work on own initiative, be disciplined, and identify priorities in busy periods
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Good people skills and excellent judge of character
