A great opportunity for a creative and motivated individual to manage all aspects of a discrete project from start to finish, as well as supporting the wider organisation during the baseline year of our Three Year Impact Strategy.
Our long-term supporters, the Co-op Foundation, are helping us to develop a new model for our programmes that allows schools to deliver internally. Envision continues to host and facilitate the competition and cross-school events, whilst school staff provide support for young people to progress their projects.
This year we are working with nine Co-op Academies. The Curriculum Development Manager will manage, develop, and deliver all aspects of this programme, which is due to run from January – May 2022. This will include logistics, communications, and organisation of the cross-school events and competition, as well as monitoring and assessing the impact of the programme through data collection and creating reports for academies and the Co-op Foundation.
You will also develop content for a new website providing resources for schools to facilitate social action projects to enable young people to develop their confidence and skills. You will draw on existing Envision materials, as well as develop ideas of your own. You will work closely with Skills Builder Partnership to ensure that the materials reflect their syllabus.
Knowledge of the education sector through working in/with schools or the higher education sector
Development of high-quality curriculum resources that drive specific outcomes
Excellent facilitation or training skills, including with young people
Experience of organising and running events
Experience of managing a project or programme with accountability for outputs
Passion for social action or making a positive, real-life difference in society and an ability to inspire others
Creative problem-solver, with the confidence and flexibility to deal with unexpected last-minute changes
Collaborative worker, with clear organisational skills and a positive attitude
Supportive leadership style, that motivates and empowers others to do well
The ability to demonstrate our organisational values
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or other accredited teaching and learning qualification such as TEFL
Knowledge and understanding of youth social action and/or active citizenship
