We offer young people the opportunity to develop themselves whilst helping others. So too for those on our formal internship programme.
This structured programme, which runs from August 2019- June 2020, offers candidates the opportunity to:
make a difference for young people and help them to tackle wider problems in society and
develop a range of skills in facilitation, programme management and stakeholder relations
The only difference is that, unlike our young people, you get paid!
Envision offers high quality enrichment programmes in inner city schools. We support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop confidence and skills by empowering them to tackle social problems that they care about.
Many organisations think of internships as an extra pair of hands. Not us. Our interns are our front-line delivery team: each of them responsible for leading the day-today delivery of our programmes in around 5 schools.
With real responsibility comes real reward. You will get to see young people grow in confidence and know that this is down to the opportunities you have created for them.
Each term you will support five small groups of 13 young people, facilitating group activities (one session a day) to support them to identify a charity they want to support and organise a range of projects to raise awareness and funds in their school and supporter business.
Through our formal training programme (including a residential) and coaching we will support you to develop your skills working with young people. You’ll also develop your organisation and problem-solving skills whilst co-ordinating activity between your schools, businesses and charities as well as by organising cross-school events. You’ll also get the opportunity to organise fun and inspiring cross-school events.
