Job description

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) helps ensure that the Further Education and Training sector develops world class leaders, teachers and trainers. We work across the whole FE sector and are funded by Government grant, commercial contracts, professional membership (The Society for Education and Training - SET) and accreditation fees and a variety of other business activities.

We are looking for a Marketing Officer who will plan and deliver impactful marketing plans for an innovative organisation who are synonymous with high value, high impact, and expert CPD with a community centric membership for the FE sector.

The role will report to the Marketing Manager and will be responsible for leading on the operational delivery of a range of activities related to the Education and Training Foundation’s grants and contracts, including working with delivery partners and internal teams to ensure brand compliance across all marketing collateral, and delivering campaigns and activities which engage our audiences, and increase participation in the ETF’s offer.

By creating and implementing best-in-class customer-focused marketing tactics, this role significantly contributes to ensuring the ETF and SET achieve its commercial, membership, and reputational aims.

The core customers for the ETF are organisations, leaders, teachers and trainers in the Further Education and Training sector. The post holder will be expected to immerse themselves in understanding and meeting these customers’ needs, as well as gaining a full understanding of the sector.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent, or with significant marketing experience.
  • Be experienced in creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns, plans and content across all forms of media.
  • Have experience in brand guardianship.
  • Have experience of working within a marketing and communications department, collaboratively executing integrated campaigns and activities.
  • Have experience developing marketing collateral such as corporate documents, including writing, proofing and commissioning production.
  • Be experienced with email marketing and/or marketing automation.
  • Have excellent knowledge of the full range of marketing and communications channels and activities.
