About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cleaning Assistant as part of the cleaning team in in providing a clean and hygienic environment for service users and staff in all areas of the Treatment Hub and Head Office.
Key elements of the role will include;
- To undertake general cleaning duties as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor and / or Property Manager using the prescribed methods and frequencies in line with the requirements of the cleaning schedules to ensure that cleaning duties are carried out throughout in an effective and efficient way to meet required standards.
- To assist with the escorting of cleaning contractors on / around site.
- To keep a check on cleaning stock levels and inform the Cleaning Supervisor of low stock levels (e.g. cleaning products)
- To adhere to Charity policies and legislation regarding cleaning, hygiene, COSHH, health and safety and ensuring that all safety precautions are observed and that any hazard is immediately reported.

About the Role:

Our vision is a London where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.
We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants, and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. Purpose of the Job

Our ESOL service was established in 2017 and now runs 5 days per week and offers English lessons for resettled refugees and an English Club with an emphasis on learning skills for integration into UK society. This role covers a specified geographical location in the Southeast of England - Kent, Surrey, London, and Sussex. There will be regular travel involved to visit and assess partnerships and on some occasions to transport dogs, therefore it is essential that you have a driving licence and appropriate vehicle for work purposes.
As part of the onboarding process, you will receive a minimum of 4 weeks training and instruction in the Surrey, Sussex and Kent areas.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our talented team as a Dementia Adviser. You will have the rewarding experience of providing information, guidance and support to people affected by dementia in identifying their needs, to help maintain independence, improving sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives.
This role will provide dementia knowledge and expertise within one of four locality Welfare Support Teams as part of the Integrated Care Across Northamptonshire. (ICAN) Ageing Well.
As a Dementia Adviser, you will:
- Be the ‘go to’ person for all that is dementia related.
- Work closely with health, adult social care and third sector colleagues assessing, signposting, and providing information and guidance to support people affected by dementia.
- Build robust working relationships and develop networking opportunities with a range of local partners and community organisations.
- Create pathways with partner organisations who work in the field of dementia, ensuring seamless, holistic consistent support and empowering individuals to make informed choices.
- Provide dementia support face-to-face, by telephone and online.
- Work closely with the Age Well team, Memory Assessment Service and Older Peoples Mental Health Team and be able to facilitate our range of face to face and virtual groups as needed.
About you
We are looking for an exceptional individual, with an understanding of memory loss, dementia and the needs of those affected with these conditions.
You will have:
- The ability to assess client needs
- An understanding of the need for client confidentiality
- Excellent non-judgmental communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills

About the role
We have an amazing opportunity to join us at the Alzheimer’s Society and be part of the Primary Care Service as a Dementia Adviser. The Primary Care service provides personalised advice, guidance and support to newly diagnosed people living with dementia and their carers. As a Dementia Adviser covering the Monmouthshire area you will work closely with the Memory Assessment Service, building relationships and attending weekly meetings.
The service is unique to each service user, as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs. As a Dementia Adviser you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support and guidance at the point of diagnosis. Providing this early intervention, we can help people understand their type of dementia, manage ongoing daily living needs, take control of their health and wellbeing and provide access to relevant local services. Our Dementia Adviser’s support people in their homes, being able to interact face to face, over the telephone and virtually, helping to give people the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future.
About you
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual, with an understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Excellent non-judgmental communication and listening skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills in order to manage your diary and caseload of clients effectively.
- Ability to assess client need along with the understanding of client confidentially is essential.
