This new role has been established to lead and implement the audience and business growth 
strategy for ICA audiences alongside developing and delivering a sustainable, entrepreneurial 
and revenue generating business growth model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Philanthropy 

• Lead, develop and implement a Business Growth strategic plan that brings a mix of 
  sustainable income derived from individual giving, trusts and foundations and corporate 
  sponsorships
• Work with the Director to develop strategic revenue generation opportunities across the 
  business and key ICA stakeholders
• Lead a Fundraising team to research prospective donors and supporters and build a 
  pipeline of donor acquisition, including bespoke donor packages
• Collaborate with strategic partners on the development of compelling partnership 
  funding/income/business growth proposals
• Maintain an overview of trends and developments in fundraising and business growth 
  across the artistic and cultural sector
• Contribute to business growth and fundraising forecasts to the annual and longer-term 
  strategic business planning process.
• Ensure effective CRM measures are in place and leading on timely and applicable 
  communications to key stakeholders including audiences, funders and members
• Alongside the Director, personally steward relationships with major individual donors 
  and key decision makers in trusts and foundations
• Lead on data collection processes and analytics in relation to audiences, participants and 
  donors. 

Audiences & Communications

•  Lead, develop and implement an Audiences and communications strategy alongside the 
  ICA’s internal and external colleagues and PR agencies
• Lead marketing campaigns for ICA’s work and manage a range of activity that supports 
  ICA to meet its organisational objectives
• Maintain and develop ICA’s brand in international, national and local markets, ensuring
  ICA’s identity is maintained across all communications channels
• Oversee the ICA platforms including its website, socials, media and the overall user 
  experience to ensure that they serve the organisational objectives
• Develop and deliver a coherent marketing and communications strategy that promotes
  ICA, and enables the institution to meet its income targets
• Develop, implement and maintain ICA’s overall digital and social media strategy
• Stay appraised of new opportunities for promoting ICA
• Alongside the Director and in consultation with ICA’s external PR agency as needed, lead 
  on PR strategy and response plans
• Provide support, direction and guidance for any crisis PR and comms strategies, 
  overseeing their subsequent implementation
• Ensure due diligence to GDPR is met across ICA’s Marketing and Communications 
  activity
• Oversee data collection processes and analytics in relation to audiences, participants 
  and donors
• Control the marketing budget to ensure that resources are managed as effectively as 
  possible, and that all spend delivers against key departmental objectives.

Governance & Reporting 

• Ensuring all fundraising and business growth activity is ethical and fully compliant with 
  relevant UK charity and financial management regulation
• Leading the Fundraising team to complete all business growth/fundraising reporting as 
  required including Arts Council England NPO reporting
• Reporting to the Director and Board of Trustees on the strategy and delivery of the ICA’s 
  business growth with the ability to flex and respond effectively when variances arise
• Reporting to the Finance and Audit sub-committee

Team Management

• Play an active and highly collaborative role as a full member of both the Executive 
  Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team
• Line Manage roles of Senior Development Manager, Development Manager, Audience 
  and Marketing Manager, Membership Manager, Editions Coordinator, Ticketing & 
  Membership manager, ensuring person specific objectives are set in line with the ICA’s 
  strategic mission & KPIs, as well as supporting staff’s ongoing development and 
  appraisal processes
• Contribute to the wider organisation’s implementation of business initiatives and 
  transformation
• Working alongside members of ELT and SLT, deliver a consistent, empathetic and 
  pragmatic leadership

KEY REQUIREMENTS 

• Extensive and tangible experience in developing and delivering a communications 
  and audience development strategy within the arts and culture sector
• A demonstrable experience in business growth and implementation especially in 
  relation to revenue opportunities, trusts and foundations, individual giving and 
  corporate sponsorship ideally within the arts and culture sector
• Experience of personally managing relationships with high value individual, 
  organisational and institutional donors
• A clear track record of meeting income targets
• A clear track record of effectively managing both internal staff members and external 
  consultants/agencies and audience development strategy and implementation within 
  the arts and culture sector
• Knowledge of the practical application of effective CRM systems both across audiences 
  and funders
• Awareness of legislation governing fundraising activity by charities in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• First and foremost, this is a sales role. So, we’ll need you to demonstrate a track-record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
• You’ll be able to demonstrate an ability to work autonomously without intensive supervision.

• Naturally, we expect first-class demonstrable sales-skills including the ability to:

1. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities including new markets, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
2. Develop a pipeline of qualified prospects.
3. Negotiate and close deals with a seven-figure value.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring their needs are met andexceeded.
5. Provide detailed reports on business development activities, including market analysis, sales forecasts, and revenue projections

• Collaborate with the National Partnerships Director, Service Delivery Director, National Contracts Manager, Digital Services Manager, and other key colleagues to ensure the smooth implementation of new contracts.
• Deputise for the National Partnerships Director at Executive Leadership meetings
• Represent Relate at a range of events to promote the brand and the service offer.
• Contribute to annual budget and strategic planning cycles.
• Stay abreast of industry changes and competitive landscape to adjust strategies accordingly.

Education and Training

• Experience and formal training in a recognised Sales Methodology e.g. MEDDPICC, SPIN, Sandler
• BA Hons (desirable)

Demonstrable Experience and Knowledge

• Substantial proven experience in business development, b2b sales, or a similar role, in the service and/or not for profit sector
• Track record of securing seven-figure contracts.
• Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
• Proven experience of cultivating and sustaining strong partner relationships in a range of settings.
• Understanding of market drivers in the EAP/staff benefits sector.
• Strong track record of achieving or exceeding income targets.

How you will make a difference

As Business Development and Engagement Manager within the Workplace Mental Health & Training team, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, partnerships, and engagement from corporate and community settings for both Mental Health UK and Rethink Mental Illness. You will work to secure funding from a wide range of sources, including commercial activity, public sector contracts and grant funding, to allow our work to continue and grow.

Working in our National Programmes team, you will ensure that we evaluate, plan for and respond effectively to bids and tenders, lead on the development of proposals, and support service delivery teams in implementing successful tenders/proposals. You will manage a Senior Business Development Officer who supports our work in positioning the organisation to respond to new bids and tenders and, where required, support the implementation of new services.

As a key member of the Academy’s Science Base and Careers Policy team, the Policy Manager will work closely with the Head of Science Base and Careers Policy and senior stakeholders to contribute to the Academy’s strategic priority to Strengthen Research.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Volunteer Manager to join the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (Kew).  Volunteers contribute significantly to the delivery of Kew’s mission, supporting all aspects of Kew’s work notably in Horticulture, Science, visitor engagement, schools, community and access programmes and Galleries.  We currently count on over 800 volunteers across our two sites - Kew Gardens in west London and Wakehurst, our wild botanic garden in Sussex. 

The volunteering function sits within the Gardens directorate in the Learning and Participation department but has an organisational-wide remit, working closely with business areas such as Horticulture, Science, HR and H&S. There is a devolved structure for the management of volunteers with a full time Volunteer Manager and Volunteer Coordinator at the centre with responsibility for delivering the Volunteer Strategy and associated KPIs, policy and procedures. This central resource support is vital for the continued expansion and development of the volunteering programmes in a coherent and equitable way and to a uniformly high level.

The Volunteer Manager will engage with all volunteers, including those under 18 years of age and vulnerable adults. An Enhanced DBS check is required.

About You

We are seeking an experienced volunteer manager who will ensure our volunteers, and staff who coordinate them, have the skills and support they need to confidently and consistently perform their roles to support the implementation of Kew’s Manifesto for Change.

You will manage the central function for volunteers across Kew Gardens and Wakehurst, supporting processes linked to recruitment, selection, induction, training, pastoral care and leavers.  You will have excellent knowledge of the UK volunteer sector and understand the legal context of engaging volunteering and how it differs from employment. With excellent IT and administrative skills, you will be experienced in collecting, maintaining, analysing and reporting on volunteer data. 

You will be an ambassador for Kew’s volunteers and a visible presence for all volunteers, advocating for them internally and externally. Your strong interpersonal skills will ensure excellent levels of communication with volunteers and staff, and this will include representing volunteers on Kew’s Leadership Forum and chairing the Volunteer Steering Group.

This role is based at Kew Gardens with occasional regular travel to Wakehurst and occasional travel within the UK. There will also be the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

· Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA)

· Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in a similar finance position.

· Some experience in an international context.

We are seeking an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser to spearhead the Trusts and Foundations programme at the Hall. This is an exciting new role within the team who are eager to invest in this area of income and see immense potential for growth.

Building upon the current small programme, you will lead on initiating conversations with new funders and effectively convey the funding needs of the Hall and capital appeal. Your focus will be on developing and growing an engaged portfolio of trusts and foundations who share the Hall’s vision and ambitions.

As Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager, you will:

• create and coordinate the trusts and foundations strategy focused on driving growth and income;
• personally manage a portfolio of trusts, foundations and other grant funders giving 6- and 7-figure gifts, ensuring you deliver fantastic stewardship and reporting;
• oversee and develop a high value T&F pipeline, proactively cultivating and building relationships with potential funders;
• produce compelling funding proposals, applications and cases for support to secure transformational restricted and unrestricted donations;
• provide leadership and support to the Philanthropy Coordinator – Trusts & Foundations;
• work closely with the rest of the Philanthropy team to identify and maximise the lifetime support of donors and partners.

Job Title: Temporary Lead Manager - Floating Support Services

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Temporary Lead Manager to oversee our client's Floating support services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of dedicated staff members and ensuring the effective service delivery of support to approximately 270 service users, primarily individuals transitioning from temporary accommodation to private rented housing.

To Apply for this role, you must have an enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months or one that is on the update service.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate a team of 13 staff members, including Senior Practitioners, Lead Workers, and Support Workers, to achieve the highest standards in service delivery.

About You:
As our Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our fundraising strategy. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to raise unrestricted income by engaging schools and workplaces to participate in Christmas Jumper Day and raise much-needed funds for children for 6 months of the year. For the other 6 months of the year, you will lead marketing and fundraising projects across Public Income and Engagement to drive us towards Save the Children's goal of raising £60 million by 2030.

You will also lead on the development of multi-channel marketing plans, with a focus on audience, to drive ambitious brand awareness, supporter action, income and loyalty targets including email, display, paid social, direct mail, TV, radio and out of home, across a range of engagement opportunities and propositions (legacies, regular giving, emergencies and mass participation)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to attract and engage supporters to drive participation and income generation for Christmas Jumper Day.
• Lead the development of multi-channel marketing plans, with a focus on audience and insight.
• Lead the team's relationship with the media buying agency to buy and optimize media.
• Cultivate collaborative relationships with key partners such as marketing agencies, production companies, and fulfilment agencies, motivating and inspiring them to deliver their best for Save the Children.
• Inspire internal partners and colleagues to focus on raising money around the Christmas Jumper Day campaign.
• Manage team budgets and reporting.
• Support the Deputy Director of Public Income and Engagement to lead fundraising and marketing projects outside the Christmas Jumper Day campaign period.

Key Requirements:

• Significant experience in marketing, including developing complex and integrated multi-channel marketing plans, data analysis, and audience planning.
• Outstanding project management skills with a proven ability to plan and manage activity that delivers complex projects on time and to budget.
• Extensive experience in effectively managing external partners, including working with media agencies, creative agencies, and fulfilment agencies.
• Experience in developing marketing assets to drive engagement and action.
• Experience in developing engaging supporter journeys across channels.
• Ability to provide technical leadership for the organization in delivering marketing across various media types.
• Experience in managing budgets.
• Strong numerical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyze complex data for strategic decision-making.

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK. However, for this role, you will be required to work from our Farringdon Office in London on average 1 day a week. Travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.
