The position has become available as a result of an exciting internal promotion. Therefore, we are seeking a personable and proactive individual with exceptional attention to detail to join our team of Operations Officers.

As an Operations Officer, you will support the operational delivery and development of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) through managing a portfolio of Licensed Organisations (LOs). These LOs are mostly schools but we also work with other organisations such as colleges, local authorities, and community groups.

The role will be field-based, and you will be expected to visit organisations within your portfolio regularly. When not attending meetings, employees work from home where you will need to have an appropriate home office set up and live within, or close to, the portfolio area of Swindon and Southern parts of Gloucestershire. Whilst you won’t be working directly with young people, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are having a positive impact on their future opportunities.

You will need to have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders and have the skills to inspire and influence them to enable young people to participate in DofE.

To undertake the role, you’ll need to be exceptionally organised, have the ability to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines and have excellent administrative skills, being both computer literate and competent in MS Office applications.

Who are we looking for? 

Ygam is seeking a pro-active, dynamic IT professional to support in the development and maintenance of our information and digital systems. Excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem solving are essential. The ideal candidate will be confident to act as a first point of contact for IT support, have experience of Sharepoint and CRM systems (particularly Salesforce) and be able to work both independently and as part of a small team.

As the Digital Product Officer, you will support the ongoing development and management of the organisation’s website. Help to manage the process for reporting, testing and deploying updates to the functionality. Improve the processes around the creation of content on the website and help manage the back end of the CMS to ensure it is clear and functional.

Part 1: Role Purpose:

We are seeking an outstanding Programmes Officer for an exciting opportunity to support Street Child’s programme portfolio in Liberia and Sierra Leone. This role will cut across Street Child’s programming in the region, including a specific focus on the $12.8m Education for Every Child Today (EFECT) Project which aims to enrol 96,000 out of school children in school across West Africa over a 4-year period.

The key objectives of this role are to work closely with Street Child’s federal partners to support the effective implementation of adaptive programming, and to support accurate and timely donor reporting across a range of institutional, trust & foundations, and corporate donors. The ideal candidate will have strong written and excel skills, with experience of MEAL and financial management processes. The role will engage regular, detailed interaction with Street Child’s UK and European fundraising community.

The role holder will work in close collaboration with Street Child’s regional Head of Programmes, based in Freetown, as well as partner Programmes, MEAL and Finance teams to coordinate timely and quality implementation and reporting across the programmes portfolio.

Based in Monrovia, whilst serving a regional brief, the role-holder will be expected to be especially involved in supporting the programmes, and wider life, of Street Child of Liberia. This aspect of the role in particular demands a confident, ‘self-sufficient’ and motivated personality – who is excited by the opportunity and attendant career potential, as opposed to being overawed by the inevitable, multi-dimensional challenges.

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

Reporting & Programme Funding Engagement – 35%

• Review narrative and financial quarterly reporting from country teams and provide feedback.
• Lead on the consolidation of narrative reporting (low-mid value donors) for a variety of donors within the portfolio.
• Ensure regular information flow to Street Child communications and fundraising teams, inclusive of collection and drafting of case studies and photos.
• Supporting income-generation opportunities - potentially including supporting donor visits, in-country donor engagement and broad-based support to the group’s global programme-funding efforts for both Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Programme & MEAL Management – 35%

• Work in collaboration with national partner and cross-country implementation teams across Liberia and Sierra Leone to ensure quality and timely implementation of project activities.
• Work alongside social, enterprise and education teams across both countries to support a joined-up approach to project implementation and MEAL, ensuring relevant data are collected with due care and utilised for project planning, reporting and learning.
• Provide strong support to EFECT programme staff and partners in Liberia & Sierra Leone in programme and MEAL department.
• Alongside colleagues provide training, guidance and advice to partner delivery staff to ensure effective and accurate use of programme documents and tools.
• In liaison with Safeguarding Focal Points monitor safeguarding policies ensuring adequate implementation of policies and procedures, and support to close feedback loops with partners & project participants.
• Provide capacity strengthening to Street Child Colleagues where possible.

Financial Support – 25%

• Support the country teams in compiling requisitions in line with programme forecasts and budgets.
• Support on the collation of financial reporting requirements for low-mid value donors.
• Support on tracking of donors & match funding within the EFECT programme.

The Operations Officer will support the operation and development of the AAP programme across the UK. This role will support a portfolio of AAPs – the AAP network itself encompasses a variety of providers for all Sections of the Award, from, large UK wide charities to sole traders.

This position will involve working alongside two other Operations Officers within the AAP Team, splitting the support of AAPs into three portfolios. The role will be field-based, and applicants will work from home most of the time, meeting with the AAP contacts virtually, delivering training and conducting audits remotely wherever possible, with some travel to attend field-based audits when necessary, as well as attending conferences and meetings.

Role purpose:

The Partnerships & Income Operations Manager plays a multifaceted role encompassing driving pipeline prospecting efforts, managing certain impact reporting initiatives, and nurturing corporate partnerships.  Corporate Partnerships:

 Pipeline Prospecting:

· Lead the identification and cultivation of prospective corporate donors, both new and potential.

· Act as a primary point of contact for inbound and outbound leads, collaborating with the Communications Team on outreach campaigns to drive lead generation and partnership engagement.

· Ensure a seamless experience for prospects entering the organisation, guiding them through the employer customer journey.

· Support the engagement of targeted employers in key sectors and regions, collaborating with income generation colleagues to develop mid to higher value prospects.

Engagement Tracking:

· Develop and maintain an Excel document to meticulously track engagement levels and interaction points with stakeholders.

Impact Reporting:

 · Coordinate, own, and update the employer impact reporting calendar for Partnerships and Income, ensuring proactive management of reporting deadlines and deliverables.

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our Digital & QA team as a Digital Project Manager. This role will primarily be responsible for project managing the development of Ygam’s new website from concept to handover in addition to some of Ygam’s other planned digital projects. 

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successfully managing digital projects, from initial briefing to final implementation and review, with a thorough understanding of agile methodologies, values and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you'll be engaging with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. You should be accurate, organised and able to manage multiple projects concurrently. While you should be capable of working independently, you should also excel in a team environment, fostering collaboration and driving towards shared goals.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Lead the process to procure external developers for the online portal and manage the relationship with the appointed developer.
• Maintain the project plan, monitoring progress and ensuring milestones are met.
• Manage relationship with appointed developer.
