We have a great opportunity for an experienced Brand Manager to join our Marketing and Income Generation Directorate. You will join us working 35 hours per week on a 12-month fixed term contract and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £46,284 per annum plus excellent benefits.

This is a remote based role however occasional travel for meetings will be required.

Responsibilities of our Brand Manager:

As Brand Manager, you will work across the organisation to manage daily requests for support and approvals on copy and design work that require constant action and collaboration both with teams right across the organisation and with external agency partners to ensure we are delivering a coherent, focused and integrated brand to our audiences. You will work closely with the Campaign Manager to build and track brand performance metrics including awareness, reach, logo recognition and sentiment and provide input and support for other projects/initiatives as required across the charity.

• Significant experience in a brand strategy and activation role
• Experience of briefing and management of creatives both in-house and external agencies
• Experience of working and collaborating closely with multiple teams across a large organisation with competing needs
• A solid working knowledge of brand marketing and advertising practices and methods
• Able to manage a heavy and fluctuating workload
• Good understanding of campaign metrics and reporting
• Charity experience is preferred

About the role
This is a new role for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as we look to expand our successful Individual Giving & Lottery programmes.

The post holder will deliver quality fundraising campaigns, including Cash Appeals, Regular Giving and Lottery that will grow income, supporter base and lifetime value. Putting supporters at the heart of the Charity’s work, the role includes acquisition, retention and stewardship of individual donors and lottery players to achieve a sustainable increase in income for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

You’ll have strong commercial knowledge, with the ability to apply this to the Charity sector; adding value to our existing fundraising activities and impact reporting. 

As part of a busy and ambitious team, this role would suit a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a talent for storytelling and a knowledge of data-driven marketing. About the role

We are looking for a confident, senior Public Affairs and Campaigns professional to lead a programme of relationship building and to develop and deliver parliamentary and campaign strategies to bring about changes in policy, practice, and attitudes across our wide range of target audiences.

The Head of Public Affairs and Campaigns will be crucial in helping us to strategically build relationships with advocates and champions for our work in Westminster and Whitehall, across key industry bodies, sectors and networks and at a local and national level. This includes overseeing our programme of events and working with colleagues across the organisation to develop and deliver high-quality campaigns that effectively build support for the changes we want to see.

This is a hands-on role that will work seamlessly with the Head of Communications and colleagues across the wider organisation to plan and deliver a powerful, coherent, and integrated communications and influencing function. The successful candidate will be proactive and tenacious in horizon-scanning and seeking out opportunities where we can most effectively influence the work of others. You will also be responsible for developing and co-ordinating policy positions and approaches that are attractive and actionable and achieve buy-in and support from others.

You will line manage three individuals and have dotted line oversight of the work of Communications & Campaigns Officers in our Action Areas, as well as general responsibility and oversight – along with the Head of Communications – for the work of the wider Communications Team and influencing activity across the organisation more broadly.

You will be a proven collaborator who is able to demonstrate a strong commitment to Ageing Better’s vision, mission and values.

• You’re a senior public affairs and campaigns practitioner with a strong track record of influencing change in previous roles
• You will have excellent knowledge of UK Government and Parliament, how policy change happens and how to develop effective advocacy strategies to achieve change.

The Community Fundraising Manager will be an integral part of a dynamic and unstoppable fundraising department.

The role will develop and implement strategies to cultivate grassroots fundraising across the UK in support of Sarcoma UK's mission. You will recruit, steward and enable a network of dedicated community fundraisers, volunteer fundraising groups and fundraising event hosts. Duties and key responsibilities

Community fundraising

• Manage and develop regional fundraising by devising a regional community fundraising strategy for income generation.
• Design and develop Sarcoma UK's calendar of annual community fundraising campaigns and events communication, including Cuppa and Cake.
• Introduce fundraising opportunities to our existing and potential supporters through a multi-channelled marketing strategy to grow levels of engagement and participation.
• Identify opportunities and recruit new community fundraisers, fundraising groups, corporate and school partners.
• Work with the Fundraising team to produce regular feedback reports and analysis on specific community products and overall revenue.
• Lead on promotion of community fundraising through digital marketing, PR, speaking engagements and on the ground fundraising.

Management

• Provide line management and day-to-day support to the Regional Fundraising Officer North, building their fundraising knowledge.
• Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for your areas of responsibility.

Income Generation

• Implement agreed KPIs, objectives and budget for the Regional Fundraising Team to drive support and engagement.
• Identify fundraising products, key accounts, and projects that will support income growth both locally and nationally.
• Responsible for monitoring and managing all income streams across all community fundraising lines including Gift Aid and working closely with the Operations Team.

Processes, administration, and reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records on Sarcoma UK’s database (Raiser’s Edge).
• Ensure all recording, and stewardship processes are up to date and working across the fundraising team, wider charity and in accordance with current laws and regulations.
• Ensure necessary Community Fundraising policies are up to date.
• Follow Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures including risk assessments to ensure a consistent approach and maintain a high level of support expected by our donors and fundraisers.
• Ensure that all activities are compliant with legislation governing fundraising including GDPR, health and safety, Institute of Fundraising, and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Conduct.

Wider fundraising

• Support company and corporate partnerships that utilise community and trade fundraising.
• Support third party fundraising and challenge event portfolio.
• Work with the Events Manager to develop merchandise and trade income opportunities.
• Support with managing merchandise supplier relationships and internal and external stock levels.

General

• The role requires some travel to events and meetings throughout the UK. Some weekend or evening work will also be required and time off in lieu will be given. Travel expenses will be reimbursed (exc. Travel to the Sarcoma UK office).
• Stay up to date with the latest knowledge in fundraising and ensure Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures follow best practice.
• The post holder will be working in a developing environment, and they will therefore be required to undertake other appropriate duties as necessary for the efficient operation of Sarcoma UK.

Assistance Dogs UK acts as an umbrella body for accredited assistance dog organisations. The Charity seeks to advance the education of the public and service providers about assistance dogs, and the rights of people who rely on them.

ADUK is a small but growing charity hoping to make a big impact for our already highly engaged members. Members work with us collaboratively to share their experience and knowledge, and this enables us to meet our charitable objectives and advance the industry. 

ADUK is looking for an experienced and dedicated professional to be part of our ambitious team at a key time for the charity.  In this new role, our Policy and Campaigns Manager will develop our policy positions and further our campaigning aims to promote standards-based approaches to the training and welfare of assistance dogs, and to facilitate better access for all those who rely on these highly trained dogs.

This is a new role so we are seeking someone who will be inspired by our work and be excited about making it a success.

The Senior Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager plays a leadership role in team management, development, and delivery of ARUK’s influencing strategy. The role leads a highly engaged and high-performing team that brings the work of Alzheimer’s Research UK to life and rallies people to our cause, devising powerful campaigns and building support among decision makers to invest in dementia research and ensure people with dementia can benefit from breakthroughs.

Alzheimer’s Research UK is a leading voice on dementia and research, and this postholder will develop a credible and comprehensive public affairs and campaigns strategy for the charity and oversee external stakeholder engagement activity with Government and decision makers. They will lead a team covering, public affairs and campaigns functions.

The Senior Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager brings expertise in developing influential campaigns, political engagement programmes, and devising strategies to achieve change in Government and NHS policy and practice.

The Senior Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager reports into the Head of Policy and Public Affairs and works closely with the colleagues across Policy, Communications, and Information and Involvement to ensure that Alzheimer’s Research UK continues to be positioned as the go-to organisation on dementia and dementia research. It would be advantageous for the postholder to be experienced at people management and working across multiple projects, bringing the drive to seek out new and proactive opportunities for the department and wider charity.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

· Leadership of the Public Affairs and Campaigns team, line managing two Managers and a total team of 4 people.

· Manage the day-to-day budgeting and reforecasting process, with an expenditure budget of circa £100,000, ensuring that the team operates cost effectively in meeting its objectives.

· Lead the development of a programme of influencing work, ensuring the team deliver high quality, impactful outputs such as Parliamentary events, Party Conference activities and other compelling activities that raise awareness of dementia, and drive investment in dementia research.

· Leadership of cross-organisational groups to deliver the strategic and influencing priorities for ARUK

· Represent ARUK on coalitions and external working groups as appropriate.

· Provide strong leadership and support as part of the wider the Policy and Public Affairs department, through coaching, mentoring and developing individuals to deliver an effective and efficient external influencing. function.

· Facilitate team building and collaborative working to deliver strategic and operational plans.

Public Affairs

· Work with the Head of Policy and Public Affairs and through their team, to deliver organisational strategy and develop positioning on key parliamentary and policy issues.

· Advise Alzheimer’s Research UK on effective political positioning to achieve our goals; working to ensure we are able to successfully influence key Government policy and decisions

· Build and maintain effective relationships with decision-makers and opinion formers including in Government and in Parliament.

· Develop and deliver a public affairs strategy for Alzheimer’s Research UK, working closely with their team, with a range of creative tactics that create pressure, build momentum and drive forward our influence in Parliament and with Government and opposition parties.

· Ensure ARUK has a meaningful role in shaping future legislation on dementia and scientific research.

· Work with the Head of Policy and Public Affairs to develop a synergistic Public Affairs and Campaigns strategy that embeds and exploits our policy work

· Lead responses and briefings on key legislation and guidance, including proposed drafting amendments where appropriate.

· Lead public affairs activity around Parliamentary set pieces e.g King’s Speech, Budget, General Elections and Party Conferences, to ensure that ARUK is positioned as one of the most influential charities in Parliament

· Oversee systems and processes within the team to develop high quality parliamentary briefs, develop submissions for parliamentary questions and to rapidly respond to other opportunities presented through the parliamentary system.

· Work closely with Parliamentarians, managing a programme of meetings and other parliamentary activities that maintain dementia research as a political priority for Government.

· Work across Policy and Public Affairs teams to ensure there is good co-ordination and communication of policy throughout the charity in order to foster a shared understanding of ARUK’s policies and issues.

· Responsible for providing written and in person briefings to colleagues who are attending Parliamentary and political meetings, including roundtables and select committee meetings

Stakeholder Engagement

· Provide leadership to the public affairs team and work closely with colleagues to grow political engagement in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland

· Work across the organisation to develop stakeholder management processes and mechanisms that help us to manage and derive insights from key organisational relationships.

· Play a key role in developing ARUK’s influencing stakeholder contact programme and identifying opportunities and strategies to improve engagement.

· Supervise a programme of parliamentary engagement for the Chief Executive, Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director of Policy and Communications, working in conjunction with the Head of Governance and Head of Policy and Public Affairs.

Campaigns

· Ensure compliance with Charity Commission guidance, and other legislation on charities’ lobbying activities.

· Develop and implement campaign strategies that deliver against ARUK policy objectives.

· Grow digital campaigns and public affairs opportunities, building our reach and engagement with key audiences.

· Manage and grow a supporter-based campaigning network, online and offline, to advocate on behalf of ARUK, including the involvement of people affected by dementia.

· To work with the Head of Public Affairs and wider team to develop campaign ideas with key audiences that deliver against ARUK policy objectives.

What we are looking for:

· Experience working in a public affairs, campaigns, parliamentary leadership or strategy role in a national organisation in the private, public, or voluntary sector.

· Experience working extensively in politics, political communications agency or charities influencing on complex health, science or policy issues.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and an understanding of how to influence and use the media, including thought leadership.

· Extensive experience developing and delivering multi-media and multi-channel campaign strategies to reach both mass and specialist audiences.

· Experience leading market research and user insight projects to shape campaigns and messaging.

· Knowledge of how to develop inclusive communications, particularly working with people affected by dementia.

· Detailed understanding of the medical research environment.

· Strong leadership skills and experience of managing diverse teams.

· Excellent organisational skills; the ability to manage a large number of tasks to meet multiple deadlines.

With a focus on driving public awareness of and engagement with the organisation's services, the Numeracy Campaign Manager will be responsible for delivering creative and results-driven campaigns that engage audiences, communities and organisations with the benefits of improving number confidence.

From honing campaign strategy to sparking collaboration with external organisations, individuals and ambassadors as well as delivering creative and engaging content this is a key role at the organisation and will play a pivotal role in how the organisation is viewed by the public and its partners.

About the role:

• Devise and deliver the campaigns strategy, reviewing and honing as necessary
• Deliver the organisation's annual awareness day, National Numeracy Day, and other campaigns, such as Number Confidence Week, throughout the year
• Lead and deliver events, content, celebrity activity, case studies, media and marketing for campaigns throughout the year
• Lead and deliver great collaborations with external organisations to further the organisation's campaign and charity aims
• Work with the Events & Celebrity Liaison Manager to ensure the positive engagement of current celebrity ambassadors with campaigns, and the development of new influencer relationships
• Oversee the campaign production process, ensuring timely delivery and smooth running across the campaign
• Build and maintain effective relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders including the public, the media, funders and other partners
• Support the Head of Communications in managing the work of the team to deliver campaigns throughout the year
• Work with the Digital Engagement Manager to develop excellent digital marketing, web, email marketing, user experience, and content strategies for the campaign
• Continually improve the effectiveness of the organisation's campaigns, paying attention to measurement, evaluation and learning for evidence-based improvement and work with Data Team to ensure campaigns bring measurable impact

About you:

National Numeracy is looking for someone who is highly motivated with bags of initiative. Experience in the charity sector is not necessary, as long as you can show that you have relevant transferable skills and an understanding of what it takes to lead successful campaigns.

About the role 

You’ll support our national and local campaigning work across Scotland to improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s and those closest to them. As part of our dynamic and committed Scotland team, you’ll listen to the needs of our local communities and work with colleagues across the charity to deliver focussed political campaigning work. 

You’ll work with  our community to raise awareness and increase knowledge about Parkinson’s with decision makers at a local and national level. You’ll use your knowledge of public policy in Scotland and the UK to make sure that the voices of people with Parkinson’s, their partners, family members and friends are heard, and help to drive changes that improve their lives. 

What you’ll do:

• Be a first point of contact for campaigners in Scotland, who want to improve services in their local area, and recruit and manage a sustainable network of local campaign volunteers specific to Scotland.

• Support the work of the Policy and Campaigns Manager to understand and influence UK wide and Scottish specific legislation, policy and practice relating to our communities and their needs

• Provide expert advice and support to colleagues and campaigners on how best to influence decision makers in Scotland.

• Use our UK-wide campaign priorities to deliver national and local campaign activity, and coordinate campaigns with other charities and organisations, where appropriate to further our goals.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong people skills, and a commitment to putting the experiences and needs of people affected by Parkinson’s at the centre of your work 

• Excellent written and oral communication and an ability to produce inspiring content to motivate others, and the ability to network and manage supportive relationships with volunteers, MSPs and a range of external organisations

Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. It affects over 153,000 people in the UK. So we urgently need new treatments, more support for people living with the condition and more funds to find a cure. In the last 50 years, we’ve invested more than £100 million in cutting-edge research to uncover the causes of Parkinson’s. We believe we’re close to finding a solution. But not close enough. That’s why we need more people like you!

You’ll be at the heart of our annual iconic campaign to maximise the positive impact from World Parkinson’s Day, in April every year, to ensure the delivery in the most efficient, impactful and relevant manner to both our core audiences and throughout the charity. 

You will communicate with and coordinate colleagues across multiple teams in the charity and in the Parkinson’s Community in the shared purpose of inspiring the Parkinson’s community to support the campaign and engage with our charity. It will involve high profile brand awareness activity, digital, social media as well as local community involvement and fundraising initiatives to further establish the charity as the ‘go to’ for people with Parkinson’s, those who support them and our supporters.

You’ll bring skills gained in campaign and project management and support the evaluation of the previous campaign to inform development of new activity,  help colleagues and supporters understand its impact and embedding key insights / learning.

This is a fixed term contract for a duration of 7 months 

What you’ll do:

• Operationally plan and project manage the WPD campaign, leading on preparatory work and building systems and processes to ensure its success.

• Prepare project plan and help align activity with existing BAU and other strategic campaigns in the External Relations Directorate and the Studio

• Work with the Campaign Strategy Lead to  define wider KPIs to measure the campaign’s success, identify opportunities and manage risks.

• Build knowledge of and commitment to the campaign with key teams and with the senior leadership team and trustees. Provide feedback to colleagues, communicating project learning and celebrating successes

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of planning and project managing charity campaigns. messaging frameworks and multi-channel communications (or similar complex projects), leading to achievement of goals and targets. 

• Highly organised and able to manage a range of activities across different teams, encouraging and motivating colleagues to support the project goals and creating compelling project updates and reports. 

• Excellent interpersonal skills and confident working with key stakeholders at many levels within the charity.  

• Knowledge of key fundraising and charity disciplines, including experience of digital marketing and engagement.

About the role

The Centre for Ageing Better launched the first ever campaign focusing on ageism in January 2024.

Ageism is the most widespread form of discrimination in the UK. And it will impact us all at some point, particularly as we get older. Ageism affects how society sees older people: they’re often reduced to offensive stereotypes, patronised, or treated as a burden. And it even affects how we see ourselves. As the years progress, we start to believe what we read, see and hear, and come to think that we’re ‘past it’.

The Head of Ageism Campaign plays a key role in a small team responsible for planning and delivering a nationwide public-facing campaign to bring an end to ageism in England. The public-facing campaign is one strand of a wider ‘age-friendly’ social movement aimed to make people think, feel and act differently about ageing, which will work on a number of levels and with a range of different audiences.

Under the direction of the Director of Communications & Policy and with an expert external consultant, this role is responsible for planning, delivering, measuring and iterating campaign activities that lead to measurable changes in attitudes and behaviour amongst the public.

The campaign will position Ageing Better as a thought leader and expert on ageism in England and mobilise the public and stakeholders around key activity and campaign moments, working at a national, regional and local level.

The postholder will jointly manage a creative agency to deliver phase two of our mass marketing campaign, ‘always on’ activity, and a moment of collective action once a year for warm audiences and ambassadors for the campaign.

You are a passionate and committed campaigner, determined to create societal change.

You will have excellent experience in campaigning techniques and communications, with first-class writing skills. You will understand how to influence the public and move people along a behaviour/attitude change journey.

You will be comfortable working across the full marcomms mix and using different channels and platforms to reach audiences.

We’re looking for a highly motivated communications professional who is passionate about supporting the growth of FoodCycle and working to help people understand the many benefits of community dining.

We’ve grown a lot over the last 15 years and our weekly community meals now run in more than 85 towns and cities across England and Wales. This role is vitally important in supporting our growth - we have plans to reach 100 Community Meal Projects by the end of this year as well as launching new initiatives that will help us support more families and children. 

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Marketing and the wider marketing team to develop campaigns and plans that will get as many people as possible talking about FoodCycle’s work, enhance our visibility and become the leaders in delivering and promoting community dining. 

You will have experience working within media or PR, with a track record of securing high quality media coverage. You will have knowledge of the media landscape, and the ability to craft a press release, pitch a story, work with case studies, and write blog posts.
