RESPONSIBILITIES

About the role
Coram’s Fundraising Team raises funds for the charity – the Individual Giving team has responsibility for supporter care, customer service and donor administration and managing our supporter database. The team has an exciting future and this role will play a key part in its success.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Individual Giving team and support the development and growth of the programme. The role will involve developing engaging content to communicate the importance and impact of our work, inspiring existing and new supporters to commit to long term support of the charity. This will involve printed media but also increasingly digital media as we look to widen the reach of our communications and messaging. It will also require excellent supporter care/donor retention skills to ensure that we make sure we maintain our donors support over the long term and experience working with databases, ideally Raiser’s Edge. This is a newly created role working within our Fundraising & Communication Dept.
Role summary
Working within our fundraising and communications team, you will support the management of our communications portfolio of work. Maintaining our consistent brand, you will lead on digital and print asset development. You will lead on supporter communications, assisting the rest of the team to raise the profile and bring new supporters into the organisation. You will manage our social channels, website content and newsletter, and developing creative assets and materials for our external work both in the UK and the US.

9. Support community fundraising activities, empowering existing and newly sourced supporters, (including schools, universities and other members of the public) to independently generate funds for Able Child Africa through independent events and activities.

10. Maintain our Salesforce database, keeping detailed records of communications, support and donations from individuals and organisations.
11. Support our advocacy objectives, working with the Advocacy team to produce high quality and consistent messaging for use within the international development sector.

Experience
1. At least one years’ experience in a fundraising or communications support role.

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and to their friends, families and carers. Our projects empower ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after their surgery and give them the confidence to take on fresh challenges. About the role:
As the Fundraising Executive you will work to grow income through developing our community engagement, attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters (individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, volunteers etc). You will lead on the stewardship of events and challenges, including our annual Step Up campaign, by supporting individuals and groups to raise funds through fundraising activities. Job Purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the Charity operations. This role is the first point of contact for supporters and requires outstanding customer care/ donor stewardship skills. Main Duties/Tasks
Fundraising & Office duties
Undertake day to day administrative tasks as directed by the Fundraising & People Team Leader and Senior Team, including the preparation of letters, reports and memos, ensuring the work is of a high standard, professional and accurate. Adhering to sensitive information protocols and keeping sensitive information confidential.
Deal with all incoming telephone enquiries in a professional and helpful capacity and direct all incoming calls correctly and take accurate messages. Adhere to any confidential or sensitive information protocols.
Contribute to the efficient running of the public Charity office by receiving all donors and visitors in a welcoming and friendly manner.
Provide excellent customer care/ donor stewardship in all interactions with donors.
Manage the mail, ensuring it is opened, distributed and any donor correspondence is responded to in a timely manner.
Process donations in line with established receipting procedures.
Adhere to audit procedures and liaise with the Charity’s auditors.
Carrying out filing in line with office procedures and ensuring the safe storage and archiving of documents/records on a regular basis.
Provide support to the senior management team, including organising and scheduling meetings and room bookings.

The charity is currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 30th September 2024. About you

Main duties of the job

About You:

The main purpose of this role is to support 1625 to raise vital unrestricted funds and pro-bono support, so the charity is able to deliver life changing projects to young people across the Southwest.
