Primary responsibilities

• The Director is responsible for managing, hiring, and effectively leading the fundraising team towards the achievement of their individual targets.
• Maintains a portfolio of major donors and prospects by creating and implementing strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors with the capacity to make 5- and 6-figure annual gifts and 6- and 7-figure leadership gifts.
• The position demands experience with designing fundraising strategies and good management skills for implementing strong, prioritised and focused work plans that achieve (or exceed) the agreed organisational goals.
• Overall responsibility of the annual revenue budget, ensuring reporting requirements as defined by the VP, International Development for monthly, quarterly, and annual budget and target monitoring.
• This position shall work in tandem with the global communications team to jointly create a positive, campaign-driven image of Smile Train in the United Kingdom.
• Manage Philanthropic Advisory Council of high-level Smile Train supporters.

Experience

• Minimum seven years' experience in senior level fundraising, ideally in a leadership role with oversight over end-to-end execution. 
• Knowledge of individual, corporate, foundation and major donor fundraising methodology including cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and prospecting of donors.
• Proven track record in leading fundraising and delivering income growth within a similar sized organization.
• Experience in a marketing and public relations role a plus.

Job Title: Trust Fundraising Manager

Arts Emergency – Head of Fundraising

Arts Emergency, a mentoring charity and support network aiming to address the inequalities in the creative and cultural sectors, is looking for an experienced and motivated fundraiser to provide leadership and management for fundraising activities. 

Since 2013, Arts Emergency has been providing 16-25 year olds in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and beyond with a trained mentor working in their field of interest. Mentors help Young Talent set goals, explore their passions and make decisions about higher education, training and careers.  After they complete a year of mentoring, Young Talent can continue to access opportunities, advice, resources and paid work from the Arts Emergency Network until they turn 26. The network is made up of thousands of cultural professionals who’ve all offered to share crucial gateways into hard to crack industries like TV, publishing and architecture with young people.

This position will be responsible for raising the necessary income to ensure Arts Emergency’s high-quality, person focused, asset-based services for young people are sustainably funded and can

scale. This is a new role that reports to the Director of Fundraising & Marketing, overseeing a diverse income portfolio including individual giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate donations, commercial income and community fundraising. This role will be responsible for managing existing corporate partnerships, developing new corporate relationships, and developing and delivering an events programme. Events is a relatively new area for the charity and we anticipate the events programme will, in the main, support our corporate partnerships and provide a varied package of engagement opportunities for our growing base of employee volunteers. These, and other events, will help raise vital funds as well as networking and new business development opportunities. 

We’re looking for someone who has experience of a similar role/s. You will have great people skills and have experience of building and maintaining strong relationships. You will be enthusiastic, energetic and with a can-do attitude who enjoys planning and organising and is not phased with periods of high intensity. Major Gifts Manager, International Fundraising

Position Objective:

To solicit major gifts (£5,000 and above) to support PETA’s international programmes and campaigns.

To build and advance relationships with PETA entities’ major donors and prospects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a strategy for international for major gifts fundraising
• Manage and maintain a portfolio major gift donors and prospects, across PETA international entities
• Effectively steward donors and prospects
• Develop personal engagement plans for donors, using knowledge and insights to plan appropriate communications
• Solicit major financial contributions from targeted donors

The Director of Operations will work as part of the management team to develop and implement the organisation’s strategy and operational plans and to build the longer term sustainability of the organisation. They will be required to deputise for the Chief Officer in their absence and assist in the overall management of the organisation. Hope for the Future is a climate change charity that trains communities, groups and individuals to work with politicians on climate change. Our vision is to see politicians of all political persuasions joining together with each other and with communities across the UK to drive inclusive action on the climate and nature crises.

We operate nationally at a grassroots level, linking constituents with their elected representatives, running training and holding events.

The Role

You will have specific responsibility for:

• Growing HFTF’s impact, leading and overseeing the delivery of HFTF’s delivery projects and programmes and working with staff to ensure delivery targets are met

• Effective line management of the Policy & Engagement Officers, leading, supporting, managing and motivating staff,

• Supporting the Policy and Engagement team with work as required 

• Developing and overseeing the monitoring and evaluation and impact measurement for fundraising bids and reports to funders.

• Acting as the lead contact for Hope for the Future’s network of partner organisations growing  HFTF’s paid partnership work

• Ensuring that we are engaging new constituents and that we are working towards reaching and representing all sectors of society.

Other responsibilities

• Regularly travel around the country to workshops and meetings and to the head office in Sheffield.

• Networking to seek new partners and clients for the purpose of acquiring new training requests and potential collaborative work (paid partnerships)

• Representing the organisation at events,conferences, and partnership meetings and in external communications

• Continually championing the values, mission and vision of Hope for the Future to strengthen democratic engagement and drive inclusive action on the climate and nature crises.

• Maintain an awareness of advances in the climate and nature movement and national/ local politics.

• Maintain a strong working knowledge of climate change developments in Parliament, including changes to policy and specific MP involvement in such developments.

The ideal candidate will have

• Excellent organisational , prioritisation  and communication skills 

• A high level of autonomy and self-motivation, with an ability to think independently and solve problems proactively

• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills across a range of professional and community settings

• Strong IT skills, understanding of digital communications, analysis of data and creating reports.

• Strong multidisciplinary project, programme and resource management skills with the ability to ensure delivery targets are achieved.

• Minimum 2 - 3 years in a management, leadership or operational delivery role within a not-for-profit, NGO, social enterprise, charity or similar organisation.

• Experience and success in leading, supporting, motivating and managing and coordinating a team  to work towards delivering an organisation's strategic goals

• Experience in building and maintaining effective partnerships and networks with external organisations.

• A strong working knowledge of the UK political system and with national and local political structures and processes

• Experience of working with elected representatives 

• Experience of delivering, monitoring and evaluating effective community engagement campaigns / outreach work

• Experience of designing and facilitating workshops, trainings, both online and in-person 

• An understanding of monitoring and evaluation and impact measurement 

• Ability to seamlessly operate at a strategic and tactical level, leading by example and rolling up sleeves when necessary

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to build their corporate partnerships career. Deputy Service Director

We are looking for a Deputy Services Director to support a cluster of Area Managers across England and Wales.

This role is home based, with regular travel across the regions.

Position: 5494 Deputy Service Director

Location: Home Based

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Flexibility is possible, but likely to be required to meet core hours across Monday to Friday)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £62,522.13 per annum

The Role

This role is home-based, regular travel and some unsocial hours will be necessary.  As a Deputy Service Director, you will:

• Support the Services Director to manage services across England and Wales
• Represent the charity externally, promoting a positive image of the organisation
• Identify and promote opportunities to grow and develop the services in order to improve reach and impact
• Monitor, develop and advance the approach to excellence, ensuring teams work to the highest quality standards
• Take the lead in developing the skills and expertise of the Operations Managers and further advancing excellent standard of casework
• Lead on income generation in allocated areas
• Promote advocacy for service users, ensuring that they are involved in the development of services and their needs are heard and understood

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• An excellent understanding of the impact of crime and the experience of the criminal justice system on victims and witnesses
• A proven track record of successfully delivering services with significant contract values
• Exceptional leadership skills, ensuring individuals and teams feel nurtured and supported in order to achieve high levels of performance, commitment and collaboration
• Demonstrable experience operating effectively within a complex organisation at both operational and strategic level
• Previous experience of developing and maintaining successful partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
• A genuine openness to feedback and willingness to proactively learn from others
