- part-time - this role is primarily offered with a view to the individual working 2.5 days per week, however due to the nature of this role and the needs of the charity, flexibility is required and therefore you should ideally be available to work up to 3 days per week, including 4 Saturdays a year for Trustee Board meetings

Evolve Counselling (working name ‘Evolve’) is a long-established charity with a successful track record. Our business model is to provide high quality counselling to corporate clients at full cost, generating a surplus to pay for low-cost, high quality counselling for private individuals who can’t afford going rates for counselling sessions.
We have been steadily growing for the last 43 years and over that time the environment in which we operate has changed dramatically. Under the outgoing Director we have largely completed a far-reaching programme of governance, management and systems reform. We now require a leader to manage and grow the charity, to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and income-generation strategy and to ensure robust governance.
Like so many charities we were hit by Covid19, but we have comprehensive recovery plans in place. One of these is to place increased emphasis on business development and fundraising. The new Director will work closely with the Business Development Manager and fundraising consultants to diversify and increase the charity’s income.
Evolve is looking for an experienced professional with proven ability to manage a small team of professional staff, engage positively with a wide range of stakeholders, attract funds, and generate income through fundraising. The Director will lead a small and dedicated team to provide the necessary vision, leadership, and fundraising skills which will enable the organisation to achieve its strategic and operational plans and meet fundraising targets.
