Contract:                     Fixed Term- 6 months from start date

Hours:                          37.5 hours per week

About the Role

Evolve Housing + Support works in the London Boroughs of Bromley, Merton, Croydon, Lambeth, and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. We are the third largest provider of homelessness accommodation in London and work with people of all ages, providing housing, support and guidance to empower them towards independent living and to building a better life.

We’re looking for a Finance officer to join our team and work closely with the Finance Manager as an integral part of our Finance Team.  We need someone who can help us to deliver high quality and comprehensive finance services to our internal and external suppliers and customers.  

We are a flexible, friendly, and supportive team who work hard to constantly improve the way we work.  Our days and weeks are busy but there is a lot of support and a chance for you to develop your skills in the finance profession in an organisation who put people first.

 

About You          

Be a finance officer who provides professional and customer focused services to internal and external supplies and customers.

Accurately and efficiently process Purchase ledger, including processing suppliers’ invoices and assisting with the payment process, monthly reconciliations, scanning and filing of invoices.

Preparing relevant sales ledger and sending out invoices, inputting receipts onto the system, scanning and filing of invoices and receipts.

Undertake other general finance duties, as required.

 

In this role:

You must be educated to at least A level standard with minimum Grade 5/6 in English and Mathematics at GCSE.

You must have bookkeeping skills or at least AAT level 2 equivalent.

You must have at least 12 months working experience in finance/accounting department especially with purchase ledger role. Payroll experience will be bonus.

Possess good working knowledge of finance systems and accounting software.

Possess good working knowledge of general office software, i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, etc
